The Baltic shipping index is one of the leading indicators of the strength of the world economy. Found this chart while doing some research on the internet. This index has been in a brutal downtrend for years. This is despite QE from most world major economies. The future is bleak if this plays out.

Baltic Dry Index Monthly (I used to work in the maritime industry many years ago so I follow it daily). Not pretty.

Hi SunTrader thanks for your post. Nice to have someone closer to the matter. From your labelling it appears that you are looking for a rally from here (i.e complete 12345-abc moves in place on your chart). Is that what is happening on the ground? I am still bearish

Well at some point. But that c completing abc is just stuck there for lack of much further room on the chart. And it may just continue to be "stuck there" moving right - till the world economy comes off the mat

BTW coffee is a big contract but the Robusta coffee us a smaller one that can be traded with smaller accounts
