This is a windows laptop running windows 7.

My other machine is a macbook pro running a virtual program. And when I put to many charts up with my indicators, it will stop putting up an alert, but it will plot arrows on the charts.

Al rightly folks. I am going to update the Ea to provide a possible fix to the "You are missing indicators X" message.
The possible issue I see is that the EA uses DLLs that come from windows based library's. If for some reason those libraries are not updated or recognized (as may happen in a Linux environment) then the result is that the EA does not find the indicators and thus u get the warning and the EA STOPS. In addition I have it checking on every tick! That doesn't need to happen, it should be only done 1 time and or when you need to add a new indicator, again only done once.

Stay tuned I will get this fixed. Later on when I get home I will also add 10 pairs and active the EA to see what, if any, memory problem they may be.

I too have the same issue with an older windows laptop that it will suck the memory pretty low and stop functioning after a couple of hours. But on my main pc with lots of memory it handles all the charts pretty well except if i start opening other windows and have videos playing then my MT4 will stop working.

Last nite on the Zotac PC (mini computer 1.2G processor, 4G memory) I too saw the "missing files" message. So I figured, I messed up cause right now the EA and Indicator are checking for the files at each tick. That may be the problem especially f u have it on several chart.

the other problem may be the 3semafor. that sucker can take up a lot of cycles which leads to more memory. In the code I have it set to only look back 55 bars. The unmodified version has it looking back at ALL the candles which can be over 4000 bars. That is why I modified the one we use so I can cut down on how many bars I it looks back. You see for every new candle open, the 3semafor indicator is RELOADED. this is just an idea. Perhaps I can use the ZigZag? After all he does mention it in the rules. I wonder if the ZigZag has less memory impact on the charts than does the 3semafore. Hmmmm..

anyhow in a bit I will come out with the updated version that handles the checkindicator() function. Lets see if that does the trick.

Well Ive been running multiple charts with 3sema and zigzag on my pc or laptop for the last couple of years and never had any issues. Of course they werent in an EA.

what I am referring to is the way the EA does it's job. Unlike just having the indicators on the chart. The EA reloads the indicator on each new candle. In the case for using the HA and ASCTrend indicators on the higher TF. The EA loads those indicators EACH TICK. If the indicator does not have a limit of bars I will modify it so have one like I did with the 3semafor. So then instead of loading 4000 bars on each tick... I have it down to around 50 bars or 100 bars for some of the other indicators. That number cannot be too small cause it will mess with the value of the indicator. I think I have the right limit.

Anyhow lets see how this new update will help. One idea is to have the EA take the signals directly from the indicator. In that case the EA would just be a shell and only load indicator once per candle. But then we would have the freebie indicator loading... never mind its the same thing LOL, maybe even worse LOL.

I'll be home tonite and get the update out to you guys.

QUICK UPDATE on LIVE ACCOUNT.

I am happy to say that the account has calmed down. Despite all the activity that the market is still going thru. I might even end up with a little profit from the start of the week, a couple of dollars LOL. Looks like the addition of the spread and 1 pip is working, plus the use of the _20ma.
Still there are missing trades but I know how we'll fix those... just watch... lol... later

EA/Indicators UPDATE.

Many corrections and etc... As usual all latest EAs or indicators can be downloaded at http://xm7.info/ea/freebie

So here are the updates:

1. Added a new pull down and removed one input. Actually the input CloseHalf_SetRestBE is now an option. SEE image below

2. Modified code so now checkindicators is done ONLY ONCE or when ever you ad a new one and restart MT4. None the less, it is done only once and not at every tick not open chart. Let me know if u guys are still having problems with those missing file messages

3. Error 141 (to many trade requests) when modifying an order. If that error shows, EA will try again to modify an order, it will try it 10 times. Delays are added to allow some time between requests. If the modification is not successful after the 10th time the trade is closed and the full error is posted in the EXPERTS TAB
If anyone wants this part changed let me know.

4. Same with initiating a trade. If an error occurs when a trade is initiated, the EA will try 10 times to send the entry, delays are included so the broker server won't spit out ERROR 141. If the trade is not successful after the 10th time, the error with details is posted in the EXPERTS tab.

5. updated the 20MA for better trend detection (some day will explain, its real simple)

6. You can use the EA v12.3 and indicator v10.2 on TFs 5min to H1. Yep, I have not tested it for trading but I did see it work with the indicators. Hope someone will take on the lower TFs or the H1 for that matter to see how the trading goes.

7. The Multiv10.3 can trade all TFs except the M1. Again its experimental, but should provide some descent resemblance at the higher TFs for trading the Freebie system. pp22 let us know how that is going and what TF u are using. If it's H1, u can now use the v12.3 instead.

Thanks for the updates Jess, I will be trying 12.3 on 4 pairs, 15 tf and on my other account will try it on same pairs on 1h tf, will give it a week and let u know, thanks

I FORGOT... to try it out on several pairs. Some folks report having problems when they apply it to many charts. If someone is trying this out let us know what the results are. I recommend to only place the EA. Anyhow I will try this myself soon.

Folks:

I am in the process of adding the CANDLE PATTERNS. So here is a question. Should I add them in such a way that the EA will look for the patterns and if they are not found then will default back to look for HA candles? Or should we just have the EA only look for Candle patterns and separately only look for HA patterns. user choice.

Ok, I just got a new error on the order mod, using 12.3 of course. It has to do with the programming I get that fixed no biggy

UPDATE:
Folks I figured out one problem.... the order is opened with the correct SL/TP but somehow the trade is closed at+2 pips. These 2 pips are associated with BE. So somehow the new BE function may be causing this problem. I say maybe cause in the JOURNAL there is no MODIFY operation.

I'll fix this. So far lol both trade are winners!!! maybe 2 pips is not had LOL Just up the lotz size?? LOL

Made adjustment to Lotcalculation, This may take care of the new errors I saw. Please let me know.

EDIT: OOps forgot to add the updated indicator... There were 2 now there are 3

EDIT2: if you downloaded before 1:07pm PST then u need to do it again. I've updated the EAs to correct a BreakEven Error .

Just to illustrate what the BE error was in 12.3. See the image? See the short? See where the STOPLoss was?
The trade was closed at +2pips. No not casue of the take half logic.. It was an error on the new BE logic.. should not have happened. v12.4 should fix this.

So far guys what I have seen is the EA settled down. It is not reacting as much to the Market whipshaw and it is keeping the balance steady. Once the new bugs are fixed then better results will happen. Just like that image below if the BE was not set that would be a REAL GOOD runner... 100+ pips I think.

Guys please note post 7373, I added the updated indicator.

I am testing the EA and running it on at the least 20 pairs across 2 brokers. In addition I have the indicator on many of the charts too.
I am running youtube and have several VNC desktops open. So lets see if any of the MT4 crash

My machine Quad Cpu 2.4GHZ memory: 8G and teraBytes of Harddisk..

I am also testing the EA v12.4 on other remote machines:
1. HP laptop, 1 cpu 1Ghz with 500mHz of memory and 150 Gs HD
2. Emachine laptop 1 cpu 2.0GHz with 4G memory and 300Gs HD
3. Zotac machine, 1 cpu 2.4Ghz with 4G memory and 150Gs HD

This is to test the order mod errors(141) and the "missing files" errors and in general to see if running it on several charts and brokers if it will affect any machines.

I'll keep you posted. Hopefully if the immediate errors are fixed then next we add the candle pattern stuff..

So far I had the new multi EA running on 14 charts for the past 10 hours with an old slow laptop and had no issues at all, so it looks like you solved it.

BUT you need to download this correction otherwise no trades will be taken.... I've updated the other post too.
Long story short.. I updated the BE and calculateLotsize functions and this caused missing variables. So either the modification was failing or the trade was failing cause the lotsize=0.

All is good now... this update works.

Here is a recap of what happened this past week:
pairs trade profit # trades
GBPUSD (109.54) trades 6

GBPJPY 134.28 trades 17

EURUSD ( 141.53) trades 16

Gold 118.03 trades 13

Profit for the week was $1.24, manual trades accounted for $101.21 so in reality I am down 99.97 for the week. However this does not ascribe to what the ea can do since there were numerous adjustments being made during the week.

Thnx keysharp. What inputs did u have on the EA? Good point about that we have to consider that the EA was updated several times.

My update on my live OANDA account.

Pairs traded: EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, USDCAD
All inputs default except:
AutoTrend (this was changed 3 times during the week.) Started week with D1_D4_HA candles, then back to _3sema, followed by ASC-trend, and finally _20ma
PercentRisk=3

Account balance at start of week: $347
Account balance at end of week: $325.

There is good news LOL. Around Wednesday was when I switch UseAUtoTrend to ASC-Trend. That was after I had added spread +1 pip to the SL. Then I noticed that the EA started to take way better trades. The account had actually fallen to $319 but then it started to climb. I even had what looked like 2 runners. Of course they fell back to BE but in one instant the account was back up to $355. Yes profit! LOL. So when the runners hit BE the account fell back to $219. Then when I pushed the last modification I switched to UseAutoTrend=_20ma and the EA was nabbed 1 more runner that went BE. If i wasnt for the trade errors of that update I would of seen a real runner on GBPUSD (if u recall I posted that chart with the BE error). The account finish going UP from $319 to $325.

Looks like this last update and the use of _20ma may just do the trick. Like I said after about the 3rd update the EA started to work alot better than before. It basically kept the account right there it didn't let it get lower and in fact finished with a push up.
