Hi All,

Last weeks trades:

11 Jan: -38.2 Pips (as above)
12 Jan: Forward test: -20 Pips
Back Test: -60 Pips
Difference being due to major news release, which is why I closed early.
13 Jan: Forward Test: -40 Pips
Back Test: +25 Pips
Difference due to me taking the trade late and the market missed the TP by 5 Pips, and reversed to SL.
14 Jan: Forward Test and Back Test: +25 Pips
15 Jan: No Trade.

Last week was a terrible week- I was all over the place, was away from the computer, and couldn't trade properly.



This Week should be better- work has calmed down, and trading should get easier to read.

Yesterday there was no trade- pity that I missed that lovely drop!!



Today is also looking like a No Trade Day.

Wednesday's Trade....

I was late to the charts, as I thought it was going to be a no trade day! But the price bounced over 100 pips, and we are in a trade- 25 pip difference between forward test and back test price!! Only time will tell.....

TP= 25 pips as usual
SL= A MASSIVE 100 pips!!!! not happy about it, but it is an emergency stop, and the trade will be closed early if a reverse signal given.

No Trade for yesterday (Thursday 21 Jan) and Today (Friday 22 Jan)- (there are 2 candle left and the trigger is nearly 100 pips away, and being Friday- I'm done!

Hi All,

A mentioned/promised here are my trading 'rules', system and indicators.

But before all that- it has taken me nearly 10 years of trading to get here- where I am comfortable with my style, my risk, and my reward.

It was not always like that- I have doubled/tripled and blown numerous accounts, traded many different systems/styles, read and followed many traders, traded every time frame from 1 min to 1 week.

Why do I mention this- because it is probably the most important aspect!! (cliched I know, but it is very true). If I had known the journey I was going to have to take to get to where I am now- I probably wouldn't have bothered. But I got hooked on trading after my first trade!

And to get an understanding of what trading style works for me, and what parameters I am happy with- all came from the experience/teaching I have accumulated over the past number of years.

Your journey will be different from mine- the style that clicks with you will be your own- my suggestion is to take what you like about other trading systems/styles and build your own- then you will know your edge, and your rules inside out. The hard part will then be to follow those rules to perfection. (One of the main reason why I track both forward results and back tested results for the same time period- trading live is very different to back testing! As my results can show.

So here goes...(After writing it out- it looks really basic and simple!

Currency traded- GBP/JPY
Time Frame- 30min
Time window traded- Frankfurt open to London Lunch. NB only a single trade taken per session.
Indicators used- the 2 indicators show both the same thing- bar close above/below Gann Hi-Lo (setting 10). So very, very basic.
My Edge- I am looking for the increased money flow from FO and LO to drive direction, and then to jump on the train.
TP- Is always 25 Pips- just number I am comfortable with- have looked at lower TP, and letting trade run until reverse signal given- just dont fit my personality.
SL- this changes depending on the trade- but is essentially where I believe that if the price reaches this level, then I am wrong.





So there you have it- any questions- just ask.
