How to draw an unfilled box line thickness 2 from Open price of start hour to close price of end hour and extend box to x hours ?

I also need to mark out 2 boxes similar method but different start open & end close times.

Any help appreciated, thanks.

Not a diagonal line, a box encompassing opening price to closing price. See example.

Sorry, my bad. A picture paints a thousand words. Alas, what you're asking is still beyond the existing capabilities of an indicator that arguably has too many options already. Simplest solution would be to get another indicator coded.

Thanks for your reply, I just could not figure out the settings for open & close in the existing indicator.

I have found an old indicator that draws boxes high to low range for time specified. I wonder if that can be modified to draw
from close to close as opposed to high to low ?

Sorry, but I'm no longer coding or troubleshooting indicators, unless the indicator or EA is useful to me personally. You could try posting in one of the "I code your indicators for free" threads, and perhaps somebody else can help you. Or if you're willing to pay for the work, you could try MQL or elance.

i want to plot a box between 2200 hrs and 0200 the following day.... using the daily lines boxes indi it can only plot boxes for the same day... please advise what should be the setting or is there any other indicator that would do the job... thanks in anticipation of your reply

Hi Hanover

I have been using your indicators for some time now and they are very helpful

For the daily lines indie, I have tried what i think are all the options to achieve a vertical line at the time specified but only show it in the sub windows and not the chart window. The options V^ shows the line in the chart window and not the sub windows, which is the reverse of what i would like to achieve.

Is there a code that achieves the line only showing in the sub windows?

This is a script, drag onto your chart & drop where you want the line to be drawn. It automatically detects the high or low, line also changes colour
and text is above/below accordingly. The text is drawn at the centre of the line.

Is is possible to download this indicator for a trading platform used on a Mac? I have seen what the capabilities of your indicator and am absolutely stunned. I appreciate your feedback.

The short answer is that I 've never used a Mac, and hence I don't know. However, there's northing special about this indicator, provided that you install and use only the .ex4 file (i.e. the .mq4 file will NOT compile on MT4 versions later than build 509). Hence my assumption is that if MT4 runs on a Mac, and other indicator .ex4 files operate correctly, then this indicator should do likewise. But I can't say that for sure, and because I don't have a Mac myself, I can't troubleshoot.

I have a question on your indicator, It says it has an UniqueID so that you can put multiple indication on the same chart, but i could not find it in the properties.

I just downloaded from Post #1 and this is what I see; please post your indicator settings; what are you seeing?
