Yes, add this two options, but with some tweaks, for instance have a Minimal Distance Pip , to the cases where a close sequence appears only 5 pips up/below the open sequence. You should also think in put a break even safety distance. i donīt think it makes much sense close an order with a loss after that order has been winning 100 or 200 pips.

Noted, and will be considered when developing a system.
Lets focus now on finding winning sequences and testing them.

I urge people with quality test data to back test the found sequences on different pairs and time periods, and report their results, good or bad.

people be careful to not curve fitting a setup. It is still possible to curve fit any combinations for a specific time period to be profitable. this does not mean it will be profitable in the future. minimum should be 100 trades

Didn't realized until finished that this is a similar test to what Math did the other day except for the fact that weaker bars were used leading up and away from the PB. Very similar results too from what i can see

Hi all,

Other combinations of this candle pattern only produced results up to 50%.

I am forward testing the below sequences on 12 pairs, different tfs, for a week.

Buy : +p Sell : -P
Buy : +P Sell : -p
Buy : DPU Sell : UpD
Buy : eO Sell : Eo
Buy : U-H+ Sell : D+L-

Hallo very good idea . The EA doesn't work in my mt4 . Don't Know why , still trying.
Have you ever think using this ea in binary options ?

Notes : tried on M5, M15, M30 and H1, so far H1 was the best.
So I will continue with H1 for this week, I might add H4 also.
I will also remove the largest looser pairs and keep the winners.
Lets see how it will perform this week.

The only right way is to use the PA patterns at the higher TFs, abokwaik.

But to completely understand the reality of PA's usage one could gather statistics.
But such staticstics is not two-dimentional as your suggested (TF and Quantity = win - loss).

1. For example, if you, say, are operating at the lower TFs (5 and 15 Mins), your targets are 10-12 pips. The target can not be 120 pips or 300 pips that are mostly being used at the higher TFs (1H and 4H).

2. The stop loss is one more dimension. Personally I use the following: S/L = 8 pips, B/E = 2 pips (at 7 pips coverage), the first T/P = 12 pips, the second T/P = 5 x the first T/P. As you can see it is not the 1:2 Reward Ratio.

3. The pair is the third direction. The volatility matters. You can not mix your results taken from different pairs.

4. Of course, timeframe is the fourth dimension.

When you have calculated such statistics you will find clouds where you have parameters (dimensions) to be optimal. When I say 'optimal' I mean parameters are normally distributed within one sigma. So you can find a set of parameters that give you the most profitable output at the chosen TF.

Of course, such calculations are capacious.

What I am saying is that using the strategy in binary and if there are no more than 3 loosers in a row then there is hope of success . For example DPU strategy looks realy good .

Yes Dr.Phoenix, I know and agree with all of the above.

However, and without implementing any of the above, this simple system ended in profit with acceptable draw downs.
