People wouldn't keep asking the rules if they were clear, they seemed to have changed throughout the thread and the trades on your explorer don't seem to match the rules in the thread either. If you set out the rules that you use in a clear manner it would then stop people asking, maybe update the first post so that it has the rules in one place all the time.

my interpretation of dimdel's rules is extremely simple: i could be wrongo but here goes>

if yesterday was red and today is green...straddle todays daily candle for a trade in either direction

OR if yesterday was green candle and today's is red... also, straddle today's candle for trade in either direction

target = 150%

thats it.

if yesterday was red and today is red...don't do anything.....

if yesterday was green and today is green don't do anything


it is a break out/reversal type strategy

Dimdel uses no filters but
one or more than filter one may or may not help as the case may be

well... I lacking gut to read a hundred post, I think,
in my point of view, dimdel trade in H4/D1 timeline, with SL and TP set in H4/D1/W1, as dimdel said in somewhere here 'using some filter' or something
that what makes everyone confused, because somekind of 'inconsistency' SLnTP

His rules may be simple but are they correct?

He says straddle the candle with orders, I thought if it was green you set a buy and red a sell?

Target 150%, what happened to 200 and 300? BE at 180% ? Trailing stop at 140? If the OP just stated the rules instead of his gobbledeegook we'd all be a bit wiser.

are you sure? target 150%? said dimdel, 'read at least the last 20 page'-or something, in the first page did say 150% as TP, but then, there's development that bring up fibo 180%, 200%, 300% as trading point

I built the a EA for this system with the original rules from dimdel. No stop to be, no trailing and so on.... result are not so good. If you want to have the Ea, no problem, only tell me. If someone has good ideas to improve the results with some filters additionally please write. I will implement if I can. I allready implemented a trailing stop with much better results.

Well, I made the EA. I made a few backtests on EUR/USD H4 (backtester is much faster than on MT4). If risk is more than 35 pips, position size is half the size than if less than 35 pips. Stop loss moves to breakeven on 150%fib. Results on past 3 months not good. A little better if SL further moves to 150% if price reaches 180%fib. Attached results for period Nov'14-Nov'15. The amount (volume) format is in millions. Holler if you want another instrument/candle. EDIT - In all fairness though, I've noticed quite a few hiccups in the historical chart...

all right i've decided to share the strategy with all comers anyway...

this is my version with one filter


someone skype me the ea when done please

dagoods1 is my skype

ps what is needed is a dashboard to tell us what pairs qualify... i'm way to lazy to check all 28 pairs every day lol

pss try with heiken ashi candles to see if there is better result staying in trades longer than a set tp...180 or 200 is fine by me 150 tp 1 180 tp 2 and 200 tp3 who knows...you ea guys can optimize profits for us all

back testing will help

Well,
You should not delete Pending Orders on every new bar.
You should left them, till stop is hit, or till there is a new sequence of Green Red.
Try this out.

Hi, If you are going to build an EA, i would like to suggest coding two rules that are very important and I don't think the previous EA's posted here used them. -First rule is that, it should not trade very large candles. ( I think Dimdel mentioned 600 points somewhere in the tread)
Second, go from SL to BE after the price action extends to 80 (about 161 Fibonacci).

First rule very easy to implement.
Second rule, what do you mean go from SL to TP? Do you mean break even at 80 points? Or Start Trailing at 80 Points?
