Hi Husky

I'dont recommend generally to install all the demo MT4 on drive c. Drive c ist your System disk.
All the MT4 installations blow up your drive ( specially when you work with tick files for TickStory BT )

on all my machines I have my own drive for the MT4.
Start the MT4 over the Desktop Shortcut oder Taskbar Icon with a modified setting: terminal.exe" /portable ( space after exe" is important )


Edit:

when it works you can delete the folder: C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Metaquotes

got it now.that is the path where is installed.
thx for advice.i was thinking to save some workspace from C and also maybe some ram but not sure if will work 100% corect installed on independent drive.but i will try.

my works without any probs

add the Extension: /portable and pin / lock the Icon at the taskbar.
I have a row of 9 Icons, all installed on 1TB SSD with W10Pro 64

From build 800 (or something, can't keep track) not many brokers allow an installation folder anymore.
They simply removed that option.

You can copy the files, create a desktop shortcut to the terminal.exe in that folder and use the /portable option.

For developers, from build 920 and the unabililty to select an installation folder using the /portable after installation will result in an extra
MQL4/indicators/indicators folder where MT4 will run from the top indicators folder but the MQL editor/compiler will use the indicators/indicator folder.

Very confusing.

Never do that, i have seen some crazy sh*t happening to MT4 after trying that.
Especially after they introduced the "Terminal shared folder".

yes I just copied files to a new folder and made a shortcut. of course works only with same broker.
(confirmed with broker customer service)
Do you have a solution to change the roaming/ files to an other drive? as it make my C drive full

yes same broker and get a new demo account number

it is not a big problem as long you dont backtest. if you backtest just delete the temporary history files in the test folder.
I have more then 30 accounts under roaming and its no more then 5 GB

lol you know it .it was posted back but no succes at all for me even with tight tp. most of trades goes into a lil profit then bang comes the big loss.

oohhh wonderful, give me the setup! a perfect looser is a winner, just reverse all functions

reverse function is not active yet.i asked few times
default set but entry 45 min before LO and no trades after 4 hours.

If it did every "bad" EA idea builder would be a millionaire.

Go basket trading. Not that lucrative but at least i had fun the past three days.

Giving information for you to trade ! NOT TO TRADE FOR YOU ! so calling on the developers for auto-trading or reverse-trading will not help you or make you a winner and rich.

you dont catch my sense of humor i see
i learned the '' need a lil fortune to made a fortune in forex '' few years ago already. and my most trades are manual and most on medium/long term.but that doesnt means i say NO to one of this dash that can give at one point some decent daily % on auto mode.it can be done i am sure in the end.not a fortune but even 1% profit if it comes from auto is perfect thinking that profit comes without you to make anything just watch the dash playing.many will say ohhh 1% is miserable.but yes it is a fortune when you think at 20 days of trading and not to be greedy,go to the bank thieves and see what they can give you for 1 month on your deposit.

on what you said I fully agree, because my argument is if there is a robot that would make us rich without working there would not be the world's poor
