Trading Dashboard For Currency Basket Trader (EA)

Create this trading dashboard out of boredom. maybe somebody like to use it.

Lot need to be changed from the EA properties. can't figure out how to change the lot automatically from screen tho.

Nice job! I would add also the "suffix" field as most brokers have something like "-ECN" after symbol name..also a button for OIL WTI like there is now for GOLD would be great!

Made some changes so it compiles without warnings, added prefix (before) & suffix (after), removed gold and added some extra buttons (it's for basket trading after all, not gold/oil/indices):

EP strong/weak = buy / sell the 3 european currencies (EUR/GBP/CHF) vs all the others (AUD/NZD/CAD/JPY/USD)
opens 15 trades
CM strong/weak = buy / sell the 3 commodity currencies (AUD/NZD/CAD) vs all the others
opens 15 trades
IN strong/weak = buy / sell the 2 independent currencies (USD/JPY) vs all the others
opens 12 trades

Here is an example with EP strong (bought all of Europe vs the others):

Made some amendment to open / close trades with specific input Magic Number, in order not to affect your other trades which were opened outside the basket trade when you use close all trades or if you want to open basket in increments and close them separately, i.e. 0.02 at 999, 0.03 at 1000, 0.02 at 1001 etc. Also changed some of the code as it was not working with some demo accounts (ICmarkets, tickmill). Test it in demo before using as usual.

edit: Re-upped with some corrections - magic number now works, on deinit it removes everything.

When does it become necessary to use the independent basket. Can you explain that one, is it referring to Usdjpy-meaning the dollar?

It means to trade USD & JPY (not USD JPY) vs all the others, either buy them (risk off) or sell them together vs all other currencies (risk on). There are days you can use it too. Re your pm regarding oil and gold, the cfd is different for each broker, some brokers only accept 1 lot for oil (wti) or 0.5 (brent) as minimum, others allow you to trade 0.01 and have different profit/point calculation. Furthermore, their naming is different in many brokers, Gold, XAUUSD, .Gold etc. Thus it's difficult to include them. And their correlations vs USD & CAD are not 100% so I can't consider them as a basket trade per se.

I used this Ea today and I was happy that it worked well, my greatest happiness was that no stop loss or take profit was initiated and that made the order beautiful.
I am not a day trader and I always let my trades to run without SL & TP

The initial happiness I felt disappeared when I checked the ongoing trades that I saw that there are SL in some of the currencies

someone should kindly check the Ea and update it by removing the code or whatever that got to do with the SL or add an option that gives one the opportunity to either use SL tp or not

HI brother,
I used this same EA past 3 days, I couldn't saw there are no added SL in any of the currencies pairs. how can you only get in SL brother, can you share the EA and also share setting of inputs screenshot, i'm also working on some changes in code wise, maybe it will help for us.

The Ea is here, just check above.

The Ea is just use to place orders and close orders for those who involve in what we call FOREX basket trading, that's by clicking a button and 7 instant active pair orders and initiated.

You do not need any settings and to know more about forex basket trading just search within the forum or use goggle

As for the above Ea, there is a SL and TP that I believe is in the code and I will post image of the trade I placed when I get home for easy view cause I am somewhere at moment.

Coming back to check market progress after some hours, I discovered that SL that was not initiated by me.
That’s what I am asking for help to amend and make it (SL TP) optional for traders
