Hi Abokwaik Thanks for this great tool I know this tools is based of candel pattern formation. But my question is, is it possible to implement this old pattern formation in the picture. {image} Thank You Best Wishes

As each wave can consist of multiple candles, the answer is No.
However, as SmoothTrader highlighted, a candle is a set of smaller candles, so an H4 candle is 8 M30 candles.
So you can try to summarize the M30 wave into one H4 candle.

So for example we can test the following patterns on H4
Buy : U-H+ (Healthy Up Bar followed by Any Down Bar followed by Confirmed Break High followed by Any Up Bar).
Sell : D+L- (Healthy Down Bar followed by Any Up Bar followed by Confirmed Break Low followed by Any Down Bar).

PS : However, I will not choose this way to trade your 123 patterns as there are much better and concise ways to trading them, but they are outside the scope of this thread.

This is a test of above sequences :

Buy : U-H+ (Healthy Up Bar followed by Any Down Bar followed by Confirmed Break High followed by Any Up Bar).
Sell : D+L- (Healthy Down Bar followed by Any Up Bar followed by Confirmed Break Low followed by Any Down Bar).

{quote} Hi abokwaik; The only point I'm trying to make is putting the statistics, you are gathering, to work with an understanding the Market, they are being employed in, will greatly increase their value. A lot of newbies will see this as a short cut to, trading, success by simply basing their Trades on Candle Sequence Statistics without a full understanding of the Markets they are Trading in. I wish you good luck with your project.

I hear you Steve, and this is why I opened the thread under Trading Discussion (not Trading Systems), and this why the EA works in demo mode only.

Pin Bar used as a trend continuation signal rather than a trend reversal.

Buy : +p (Any Up Bar followed by a Bearish Pin Bar)
Sell : -P (Any Down Bar followed by a Bullish Pin Bar)

Tested on EUR/USD 2015

So, we found few sequences that are profitable on specific data sample.

I would like every one interested in this project to try to find more sequences.
You can think of a certain logic and transform it to a coded sequence and try it out.
Or you can look at chart history and try to see how good trades could have been taken, and code that into a sequence and try it out.

Here is the plan:

Once we have enough (say 30 sequences - other than classical candle stick patterns of course), we will test them on different data samples.
We will name the survivors, and make a trading system around them applying PM and MM, and see how they perform in forward testing.

this EA may become even more interesting for VSA traders if you include volume.

it is always looked at no-supply NS and no-demand ND
for example in a downtrend (below sma50)
+ (with volume lower the previous 2 bars) D
so ND would be confirmed after D

inverted would be
- (with volume lower the previous 2 bars) U

do you know what I mean?

I am not a true VSA trader but some could join in here

Good stuff, Khalil Abokwaik

Very interesting indeed.

May I give you my 2 cents on the subject, if you mind (and interested in) ?

1/ Can this EA be equipped with a advisable function (not tradable), marking a pattern with an arrow on a chart? The direction of the arrow is UP / DOWN for buy / sell.
2/ Can the EA be equipped with the MTF option? Trading the lower FTs, you could be notified by the arrow from the higher TFs (if choosen).

Best
