EURSUD - Keep a close eye on the current 5 min bar... very NDish looking and we are below the low of today's controlling zone...

​I hope somebody cashed in off that 5 min SOW below today's zone. Easy 2:1 so far with a 6 pip SL, trade would be up 12 pips already.

Seeing some support at 1.09 (as would be expected at the good ol' round numbers). For me the next level of interest is a little lower around 1.089 to 1.088.

​And as quick as we go up, back down we come. It's times like this that you need nerves of steel and good PA reading skills. You need to be able to separate the real moves from the fake outs. If they want lower prices they need to remove the support... This can take time. Perhaps this is a bottom for now. Perhaps this is where they plan to buy from for higher prices. Either way they need to build, the clues will be there. Many traders focus on the round numbers so seeing surges of activity back and forth at these areas is very much to be expected.

Let the market play out, manage your trades accordingly. Most of all, don't panic. We as humans don't operate well when we panic.

I took it and have been using your money management strategy of taking profit at 1 position at 1:1 and leaving the other open so either it's a BE or hopefully a runner.

This will be my last day of active posting until the new year. I will be watching the charts off and on (between the family time) but won't be trading.

​Why a pending sell? The low of that zone already came into play after London open. That zones ship has sailed already for today as we've already been through LO and NYO.

NYO gave us a new daily low and a break out of what was today's zone. Right now we are testing the low of that break out (which coincidentally enough is 50% of the NYO bar which is now today's highest volume zone... confluence of levels). If there is still an entry before London leaves that might be it.

​I don't trade that pair (really need to also watch Asia session as AUD and NZD pairs tend to move in that session) but what I can say based on my quick peak at a chart is it's only been buyers in control from LO till NYO. That last hourly bar before NYO was a clue that something was up with that really wide spread so one better either tighten up the SL of get out and see what NYO does (which so far has been lower prices).

​PA on EURUSD today has been a thing of beauty. Break a zone low, test the zone low and make a new low... We take out the low of what was today's highest volume zone (and also the Dec 16th UHV WRB zone low) and print a new higher volume bar. Look at how the 50% of that down bar is almost bang on the low of what was today's zone. This happens ALL THE TIME. I can't tell you how many charts I've shared over the years sharing this concept. It's amazing how many breakouts will have the mid of the BO bar at the H or L of the zone being broke out of. As I used to love to say "volume at volume", "activity at activity". Once you truly understand this very basic concept your eyes will open to a much clearer point of view.

We get the break out and what do we do? We return back to test that shared level. Depending on what TF chart you look at you see the same thing in a few different ways. They all were saying the same thing... lower prices or at least a return back to the current daily low.

Start at the hourly chart and go all the way down to the 1 min chart and see what you see on the move back up into 1.0895. Start with the hourly (last closed bar on the current chart at this point in time). We know it's a weak loking bar that closed below the low of the previous hourly bar after testing the 1.0895 level... Work your way down and see what the PA on the lower TF's within that 1 hr bar showed us...

Killer 1 min 2BR into the shared level... great scalp back to at least the days low. Would you have taken it?

Currently EURUSD is back testing the low of the Dec 16th hourly zone (crazy spread and UHV bar, thus still on my chart)...

Well that's pretty well it for me on an intraday trading basis (still a few trades running but will close most soon) so once again I hope everyone has a great holiday season.

​The PA in the orange box is the reason I dropped my SL to lock in more profit. We were basing and testing downward with no volume / activity found after London closed (we saw some profit taking for sure during that last hour) and despite a weak looking final hour to the London session there was no follow through and no signs of continued selling. As such I no longer had interest in giving the trade too much room.

​So this played out as I suspected, however it appears the bears stay may be short lived. Today the controlling volume is right at the days low, we are currently floating around the high of the zone and on the Daily chart today closed as a test-ish bar. Even lower volume than the ND day and the controlling zone right at the low, bears unable to close below the low of the ND day.

See where we are come LO tomorrow... The hinge point right now is 1.0895 with the bulls key level at 1.0910 and the bears key level at 1.0880.

As always London market open and today's zone will guide the way for tomorrow's action.

​And up we went...

Check out today's LO zone... 50% right at that Dec 16th zone 50% level... shared level once again. 1.095 anyone? We are back at a heavy R area so bulls need to step in and protect the 95 level in order to have a chance at making a run back at 1.098 and then the 1.1 to 1.1010 levels. We need to consider the Dec 22nd zone up at this area as our most current PA and zone of R between the bulls and the Dec 16th zone H.

Lower liquidity time of year so easier for prices to be moved around (see how it started up in Asia and just kept going).

I am sure I sound like a broken record but day after day we have our road map, follow them and we remain on the right roads heading the same direction as the SM.

Sitting here at work enjoying a quiet half day (we close at lunch) excited about spending Christmas with my family and looking forward to 2016. It's going to be a good year, I can just feel it.

My two girls love this song and well I find it quite fitting as the title of the song describes my trading style ... Must be a sign!
