Ok guys, last updates to the files. Originally I posted v4 and vMulti1 at post http://www.forexfactory.com/showthre...66#post8641266
I updated the post with the updated files and I am also posting them here. v4 an vMulti1 now have code that should handle spontaneous trades that happen when u initially load the EA.

I have the Show_pivots true and show_midpivots true on the xm7_pivot indicator. So I was expecting the Semaphore prior to the trade to have failed at a pivot, but I don't see that on the chart. I'll start testing V4 and look at the debug info.

I must of misunderstood your previous comment. I thought had experienced an arbitrary entry once u had activated the EA. That is what v4 attempts to avoid. But you also have to take into account that perhaps at the moment there WAS a signal and now that we see it this instant the signal is not there anymore. Those are the repaint risk of the 3sema on either the higher TF and the current TF. That's one of the risks we have to deal with. Perhaps the HA will provide something more solid. But then again I recall testing that with other indicators and that too has moments where it all of sudden changes. I am referring to the higher TF HA signals.

What settings are you using on both the indicator and EA on the chart you show?
At the moment I haven't made an indicator for the multi version. So the v4 indicator in some cases will not match what the vMulti EA is doing.
The vMulti EA is mainly for the dare devil testers LOL. But eventually the v4 EA will become that. I just wanted to have folks test the multiple approach to detecting upper trend direction. Hmmm you are the second person that I see using the stoch cross on upper trend... tell me do you look at the upper TF stoch cross when it immediatly happens? Or do u use the close of the last upper TF to see if the stoch crossed? I don't recall if Dredding had anything to say about that. Let me know and I will include it in v5

The Show_pivots true and show_midpivots true on the xm7_pivot indi only affect if the lines are drawn on the chart or not. I should just leave out the show_pivots always on and give the option to show mid pivots. Anyway, it does not affect at all the EA nor the Indicator both use the pivots all the time.

Remember the indicator is only for visual purposes and to compare with the EA. The EA does not use the indicator and can stand on it's own. So for example you should of had a sell signal cause at the last candle that the indicator shows a red arrow. Well actually at the open of the next candle after that one. In addition v4 has details debug info of what the EA "sees" before it attempts to determine if a trade is ready to happen, see post were I explain that with images.

Trade was placed by EA but the indicator did not show a green arrow. I have indicator and EA settings at no for trend with fib pivots.

Had a trade on AudUsd that went south. A short arrow showed up after the failed pivot but the trade not taken until 9 candles later, but it traded as a long. So I added the HA candle indicator. Maybe the 3sema as auto trend is having difficulties. This was the second loss on this pair this morning.

Just had a gbpjpy trade close in loss, so I changed to HA indicator to determine trend. We'll see. It is about noon my time so I don't expect any more trades today until late this evening.

Change the v4 indicator to pivots=Daily tell me if you see that shows a failed pivot. Maybe I didn't make the change correctly on the EA and it is stuck on Daily pivots. Let me know what you see.

Did the EA and indicator match signals? Did you see that all the conditions where met correctly for those trades (win or lose) that were taken?
Lets 1st make sure that v4 is making the correct trades as expected.

Just wanted to show a good example of a successful TakeHalf_LeaveRestBE trade. This is on the OANDA GMT+5 broker for EURUSD....
..Now this is nice. A totally free trade and it just keeps going. plus I already have profit from it. nice.

The arrow appeared once I reloaded the indicator
