Whatever, closed my loser. I was short at 0.6590. this short together with my short euro whipped out all my profits of the last year. Back to the drawing board.

The classic case of a priced in rate cut and the market short in anticipation. History repeats time and time again.

Been playing AUD/NZD from the short side and despite wearing some pain Im back in the frame along with earning a small yield.

So here is hoping that the RBA will get some inspiration from the RBNZ and cut rates in Australia.

Nothing has been built in for an AUD rate cut so the AUD/NZD has room to move lower on that presumption towards 1.0550 and below.

The first indication will be todays AUD unemployment numbers. Its so not much about the number itself (because I think its bogus the way its randomly calculated) but the actual trend.

Risk tolerance is high on this trade so be prepared for wild swings.

Hopefully the reward is worth the pain

the reason the rbnz cut the rate was to lower the dollar not because it was where it wanted it or because it was factored in already so look somewhere else for the excuse and dont hold your breath if you think its going to stay up there

waiting for NZDUSD to clear 0.6770-80 resistance for an immediate up-move towards 200-day SMA region (0.6885-90) before the pair attempts for an additional up-move towards 0.7000 mark.

falling interest rates, commodity falls, the central bank says that we intervene, the price of milk does not rise, the Fed will raise interest rates ... but still pushing up the kiwi, it's wrong here


Money Is it always justified?

still no proper move by the kiwi after 24hours. we need a catalyst.

Everything seems to be set-up for either a break down or a new move up. But given that it hasn't been able to break higher multiple times now, my guess is that the chances are higher that it'll move sub 0.67. Pending short order at 0.6730.

Fails to conquer 0.6770-80 resistance. Below Thursday's low (0.6710), NZDUSD could drift to 66.70-50 support region, which could potentially be an opportunity to initiate fresh long positions. would maintain a tight SL below 0.6600 mark for my long positions.

Once said markets drop like a knife or a tomahawk, this look more like a rack of NZ lamb with plenty of meat down at the bottom (bottoming pattern). * I like NZ lamb.
