My strategy for the EUR/GBP for today, based on the bigger picture and technical analysis strategies

Strategy: Buy at 0.7252, Stop loss at 0.7212,
Price target at 0.7299 & 0.7330

Excellent, I learn something everyday. dont feel weird about helping out, its not that I dont want to change, I am just comfortable and ok with the amount of draw down or loss. Pipsninja is right, I failed to look at the red news. I knew it was coming but didnt really consider that too much because my back testing were done purely without factoring the news. Also, if say the news was coming 10 hours from now, I am unsure what to do other than stay out of the trade? (or maybe just take a even smaller positions, I guess).

I have been in your shoes. I was in a multiple GN trade position a while back and there was big News coming so I had a SL in place. News was in favor of my trades. I accept the fact the Big News are either going to help or bust my positions. I wouldn't start building positions right before major News but a few days before is OK.

Even if Big News don't stop you out but cause your positions to go into further DD what you should do then? You need to interpret the long term effect of News. Not all but some big News may start trends lasting thousands of pips.

AUD News came out earlier showing a stronger Aussie job market which is good for its economy. CAD has a strong correlation to Oil due to its large Oil deposits and with Oil prices at historic lows things are not looking good for CAD. A big pop in Oil prices could help your positions. Who knows in this crazy world what is going to happen next but there are many things to consider when position building trading.

Have you checked Oil lately? Oil is at historic lows which is bad for CAD. Oil down UC up.

GJ short broke out of trend line where price created double tops off Yesterday High while TDI had lower high, collected 60green. My intial PT was 35p which was around DOL, then I adjusted it to just above Prev week H/L as trade in progress.
