Were getting there I think well see 186 printed by end of day and then a fall back to around 185.8-.6 range afterwards

edit: or possibly not 185.9 might have been it DOWs getting hammered now and big bids on JPY starting up as well looks like peeps are looking for that safety.

I cant count the waves well, but i do trade patterns and lines.....anyways see the expanding pattern below

Check 185; trading through back and forth (Range:186; 184), give it 1.5 days more of consolidation, you'll probably get an amazing trade.
It doesnt look like a breakup of 186 yet.

Also, id say were still bearish in GU below 1.5165. That plus the shitty UK data makes me think this up is only temp before a break back to the downside and then down to the old trendline which is now sitting very close to 182.8. But we could also continue up. If we do break up then i think its gonna be a very very nice break

I'm waiting until the day is over before I start a trade in the gbp/jpy. Bought the euro from 1.0820 in hopes that the market makers will have one last spike (like they did last time in previous FOMC/ECB conferences. 500+pip movement cough cough). It worked out well enough, and I've 60 pips locked in, completely eschewing the fact that by intraday charts, my trade was "supposed" to be buying at the top.

I find the most profitable trades to be based on experience instead of technical. Maybe it has to do with the fact that history tends to repeat itself.

Euro's hanging over 1.0900, but I wouldn't rule out one last spike to 1.100 before Deus ex Bears show up to bounce the price down, and that sort of currency movement might also set the gbp/jpy to a temporary swing. Anyone here hoping for 1.100? That'd be a good sport to short the eur/usd, and since everybody'd be buying up dollars, it might also get the gbp/jpy out into a more defined direction for the next sessions.

Still net bear on euro. Data's crappy, QE will still continue (oh goody). Hopefully this means that everyone buys up dollars, and as long as the the flight to the dollar is more pronounced in the yen than in the cable, going long on geppy still wins out.

I still expect to see my 200.000 for the gbp/jpy. Gotta love that number.

It got me on the wrong foot with that LL and LH on H1. Was too stubborn to hold on to my second long, even though being up 100 pips in the mean time. That LH should have warned me, but ok, just will wait for the next opportunity.

I'd say it's a complete hit or miss for your wish - tomorrow's NFP Friday. It might just climb more without letting us buy lower, but you've still got your first long in place, right? You plan on keeping it through Friday?

I blame my stupidity for sleeping through the first few hours of NY session. Missed out on most of euro and the geppy.

No, the first long was a partial profit, the second got s/o and turning a 100 pip + trade into a loss. Not the best choice, sometimes hard to manage with being away from the screen all day though, but no excuses ...

Downward divergence on the 4H dealer chart....nothing on the daily.

......slo sto set for an upmove on that chart, though....I'm looking for reverses at those times on the 30M candle changes....
