long au , cash rate 2.0 > usd interest rate and larger returns for profit, AU is one nation not implicated alot by the middle east, it looks like one of the better currency for risk aversion investors.

Anyone else notice that Iron Ore prices got smashed, yet AUD/USD didn't react to the news.

Hm, with today's high @ 0.7299 there's an almost perfect 161.8% extension (darkcyan lines). Interesting fib-structure overall as well:

maybe this would be a catalyst for price to further move up and not be stuck in this range.

I am enclined towards Long AUDUSD as long as price is above 0.7180

confirming this:
- retail positioning as per Oanda
- price action H4

infirming this:
CFTC non-commercial positioning with non-commercials still short around 57,000 ctr. as per latest data available.

If this upward movement establishes itself, it might last a while given the range in which price was stuck

After 3 weeks of trading zigzag up from 10th Nov low , target (c) = 1.6182 x (a) finally reached, exit all longs & going short from here.

Seems more likely than not that GDP will be held up by export volumes. If I still have shorts open going into aussie GDP data, that would make me feel quite uncomfortable.

That being said, iron resuming it's crash with roy hill shipping it's first ore adding to the massive oversupply, oil resuming it's crash, the Fed expected to raise rates for the first time in this decade within weeks....I would not be comfortable with any long position right now beyond an obvious short term scalp.

looks like aud got tailwind. this is EA but not much different in case of AU.
