Tools, Options, Objects Tab, increase Magnet sensitivity to max, then trendline will "snap" to the high/ low exactly.
You will need to select a new trendline each time.

Is there a way to display a current price line accross a chart? Like the ask line but exactly at current price and on all time frames? Thanks

It's ok I found an indicator that does it.
Indentify > Plan > Accept > Execute

you don't need an indicator for that, just right click on chart, then option at the bottom, then add ask line to right,
and change the color as you want.

It was the bid price line that I was after. The ask price obviously differs from the bid price by the amount of the spread which can be quite a lot in some cases. Also even when i select to show the ask price it doesn't show on all time frames for some reason. Anyway as I said I did find an indicator that works well and allows me to change the colour and style of either the bid or ask price line. Thanks anyway for your response!

I know your knowledge in this department is much much greater than mine will ever be but I can assure you there is no bid line on any of my charts.

Press F8, chart properties, Colors Tab and change grid color to a suitable colour.

You can also choose Ask Line Colour here, but you will need to tick "Show Ask Line in the Common Tab.

Set that chart template as default in the Charts tab & select templates, so it the bid line will show on all charts opened after.

right click on your mt4 chart------(a new window appear) left click on properties ---------(new window napper) left click on common-----------(new window napper) check on "show ask line" and show grid.
done.

Thank you Shabs and Ferru. I didn't realise that the grid options affected the bid line.

I didn't want to show the grid or the ask line - that was the problem. I just wanted to show the bid line! Anyway I know now and thanks to you all.

Uncheck "Show Grid" in the Common Tab.

FerruFX is right, bid line is the greay line, if you want it to be more pronounced, you can change colour on it, by changing the grid colour

Right click anywhere on the Line Studies toolbar, and select 'Customize'.

Choose the shape/object that you want to appear on the toolbar in the left column, and then click the 'Insert' button to add it to the list of items on the right column (these are the items that will display on the toolbar). See attached screenshot.

You can change the order by selecting an item on the right column, and clicking the 'Up' or 'Down' button.

Click on the 'Delete' button to move any selected item from the right column to the left. This will remove it from the toolbar.

Note: If the Line Studies toolbar has disappeared, right click on any Toolbar and click on 'Line Studies' to re-enable it.

Hi Hanover,
Thank you for your response.

I worked out during the delay that is I created a flexible MACD, oand then a second indicator that called at least two iCustom(NULL,0, "MACD indicator",,,,,,).

in the latter indicator, I could turn on in the M15 the MACD and the histo, and the H1 MACD only (since the H1 MACD histo would just obliterate into a mess of colour)

so a table of options looks like:
........MACD M15...... Histo M15...... MACD H1...... Histo H1...... MACD H4....... Histo H4
M5 .......on.................. on .................on ...............off ................off ................off
M15 .....on ..................on .................on ...............off ................off ................off
H1 ......off ...................on .................on ...............on ................off ................off
H4 ......off ...................off .................off ...............on ................on ................on (I didn't want to carry over the lower Histo to the higher time frame when greater than H1, but you could. Or you could have a third MACD, but use only the linesi.e. no Histo as it starts to get busy visually)

Only the indicator with the iCustom is loaded to the chart and because the two iCustom contained inside are drawn from the single indicator, MT4 sizes everything and aligns the y-axis so the MACD share the same zero on the y-axis, basically everthing fits neatly and correctly.

I hope there is enough here to show what worked. Its pretty cool if you like to get an idea of momentum. Sorry my explanation previously was a bit too crytic in hindsight.
