you have to name each new indicator.

This time it's a great idea, (SIMPLE but with big EFFECT) but it's also very easy to correct dashboard by developers.

Little entry.
There are several basic types of trade. I will briefly describe the ability to trade dashboard (and indicators).
1. Trade with the trend. YES. (PFO, CandleDirection, Strenght D1 W1, HeatMap Mn1, W1, D1)

2. Trade with the trend in the breakout of the level. YES. (PFO, BR, BSR, GAP, CandleDirection, Strenght H4 D1, HeatMap Mn1, W1, D1)

3. Trade with the trend on pullbacks. (scalping trend). NO. (PFO, BR, BSR, CandleDirection, Strenght H4 D1, HeatMap)

I may miss out on some kinds of strategies, but the above - these are the main types of strategies.
How do you think what kind of trade the most profitable? Think logically ...

I have a very simple idea of how to expand coverage of types of strategies without adding new indicators.
My type of trade Trade with the trend on pullbacks. But now I have no way to configure dashboards for my type of trading.
But all indicators that are present on the dashboard suits me.
What's wrong? Dashboard is designed originally for strategy Trade with the trend in the breakout of the level.
And in connection with this whole range of indicator values in the dashboard's settings is designed NARROW.

I propose to make two simple things. These adjustments allow to make dashboard extremely flexible and suitable for any type of trade.
So two ideas:
1. In the settings advisor assume that all the ranges we specify only for BUY orders. For SELL orders assume that the values will be reversed. In the settings values for SELL orders are not specified.

2. All the values of the indicators in the settings advisor perform as DIAPASON OF VALUES. Including negative values. For example values for HeatMap for BUY: ((M1 from -0.1 to 0.1; M5 from -1 to 0; M15 from -1 to 0; M30 from 0 to 1; H1 from 0 to 2; H4 from 0.3 to 3; D1 from 0.35 to 3; W1 from 0.35 to 3; Mn1 from 0.35 to 3)) For other indicators, you must specify the same range of values. Either negative or positive.
In this example, it will be obvious entry on a pullback down and resuming the upward movement.
For example for CandleDirection Trade with the trend on pullbacks it will be as follows: ((M1 green; M5 red; M15 red; M30 green; H1 green; H4 green; D1 green; W1 green; Mn1 green)).

The principle of operation, I think you understand.

Therefore, dear developers. GVC, HP, aeseme, DingDong, dtlase, Ghoul007, mikaa - You are the best in their field! But, please make the changes in your dashboard. This is a minor upgrade will make the process of finding the optimal settings more flexible.It will allow us to use new types of strategies.

I was just looking quick over the code. (I am not a programmer)
But why are the arrows so volatile?
If we use a TF m15 m60 h1 h4 we still have coded old_currency_strength(string pair) measured on a m1 TF!
As a trader I must say this is wrong. If I have h4 period 3 then this is 12 hours and I don't look at m1.

Please check again the code and try an other way to make the arrows more smooth and look back maybe 1 candle of the actual TF and not m1 TF.

This code is correct.

Current currency strength is the current price (Bid) running up and down a H1 (or TF_1) bar.
Previous currency strength is the M1 close running up and down on a previous H1 (or TF_1) Bar.

Yes of course the "code" is correct, that doesn't mean it give a good signal for a trade. I saw the arrows flip up and down within seconds.
I even could think about to give a second period for the arrow.

If you compare a per one minute static value (close price of the M1 bar let's say 30 minutes ago) against dynamic values (current high/low) the result will be different every second because one of the two variables is dynamic !

we could even have a rate of percent change, i.e. ROC in percentage, measured from close or open.... a double roc gap

seems to me to be a good answer that would give pure momentum..... just an idea ...

so the the roc for currencies and not pairs and measured by percentage change...



PS is there a double gap scenario possible with the basis of it being the the bid ratio

real gap in real time of one currency going long while at the same time a real gap of another currency going short at the same time.....is what we are going for...or vice versa

one trade per candle when it first appears as a trade scenario

bolstered by higher time frame direction


just for my own edification it helps to write this stuff
