Any short-term tick / 10 sec scalpers???

I've been scalping for a long time and it took me years to become profitable, but I still do not get results like the new guys in here, hundreds of pips in a day, 30-40 pips are my largest winners and they don't come often, 60 pips is considered a big winning day for me. it's quite frustrating. I like the way billy chooses direction he is very quick on reversals, i only trade continuations and breakouts. reversals is where the big intraday pips are always have struggled with them.

Phil...i think there are few answers to this...1) he is not cutting his losses quicker then you, so 2) he is taking more risk, by also 3) adding in...and it seems that has been going well for him. also those 100 of pips were on the DE30 CFD, which was very volatile. Obv our style is different, that i can say, as we both learned it (more or less) the same way yrs ago.

Also the profit target on the reversals should always shorter (about 1/3 to 1/2) from the previous move. Only when the reversal is steeper, you can take the chance to ride it back.

Phil, don't be frustrated. Maybe you should change your method. To be honest, I don't see exactly what is your entry/exit strategy. What are those moving averages? Do you use them? Also, 5 ticks is too quick, imho.

I think spread is prior to Frankfurt too big (here 8 Pip), hence not much of interest. Exception, like yesterday, the big weekend gap, which mostly will be closed. About my trading style, I use some indicators. I am not able to read naked charts. Today it was not easy to recognize a good setup. The chart didn't look like this on order entry! Pitchfork adjusted late! My exit strategy depends on Fibo levels or some of the other lines in chart. Beside a long run I collect many small Pips (7 - 15), typical for a scalper and of course take orders on currencies as well. My min. goal 3 - 4 trades on currencies and 50 - 100 Pip with GER30.

Today +179 Pip on GER30 and +51 on currencies.

5 tick, I look at hh LL LH HL,

On 5min chart: candlesticks, Daily Pivot/Monthly/Weekly Pivot, 50 Sma and 55EMA 150SMA=50 Sma on 15 min

Continuation of trends, a trend is above. or below 50/55 ma by at least 12 pips. buying/selling dips,
I want a pull back of at least 12 pips, 95% of the time.

I'm always aiming for a 10 pip movement at least because of the costs

Breakout scalp: for about 4-9 pips after costs, level to be tested before I enter i will buy high sell higher etc...

I try to buy on a down tick, sell on an up tick.

stop loss 5.5 initially then I move it, my average loss is 4 pips after cost

Understand. For me, this method is too complicated, there are some (more) things included which I tried before, but did not work for me.
