Brent -after a tight start worked out okay pm.
But E/J Billy Bar , so far, is a loser for me
(Note the GAP closure on E/J )

EDIT: Looking at price move (E/J) from Dax open (7 am) -maybe it would pay me to get out of bed earlier or lie in and trade US open ?

Interesting chart of G/N on 5 Minutes. Been tracking this pair on 5 minutes but I still think (thus far) that Dax on 3 minutes offers better short term opportunities for me. (Apart from Brent)

Two charts on 4 hour time frame -E/J and Cable (I think Billy uses a ten pip profit target for stats). If so then these pairs still deliver -your comments are welcome.
I've not added yesterdays' daily high and low.

lol no he's just chilling for a bit .When you running a thread and getting questions 24/7 never mnd 10 to 15 pm's a day sometimes you need space. I know I did.

No-no Claudia - I was not commenting on his absence. It' s just that I came across this cartoon and thought it would raise a laugh among the few of us who understand its' origin.
Now you mention Billie's absence -it's a good idea that he "chills" for a while. I could not cope with the calls on his time.

The market was kind to me today, it decided to teach me a valuable lesson.

Go with the trend, go with the trend, go with the trend and go with the trend.

It's just a shame it was an expensive lesson, after a great week last week I gave a lot of it back today. I know better, my own fault!

Trend following -Yes I agree. I miss a few currency and oil trades against the trend but overall I also miss more bad than good "against the trend" trades."
Sometimes I find myself in a consolidation, which, if not deep enough, sees me whipped about. To avoid major damage I allow two "strikes" - one log and one short: If they both fail ( to get minimum of ten pips) then I stand aside and wait for a trend to develop (sloping trend line, breaks etc). The discipline of waiting is the hard part methinks. My oil trades have compensated for some losing E/J trades to date. As an aside - Have a look at 4 am to 8 am breaks for ten pips - might pique your interest !

Made some money on this pair today so got room to play. Bad bad entry selling at the bottom but if it breaks that low it could be fun.

Edit: and so it broke. Closed out +100 for in 26 hours. A weeks money It can be done tell them Billy.

Brent - I was a little hesitant -did not want to trade against trend and not sure of price action bar (outside bar etc)
Long was a more confident trade (not so confident as the following short) due to recognizable TA action (o/s bar) with trend.
Short from extreme of BB and moving average was a more confident trade due to confluences and experience of prices snapping back toward medians (21 ma here)
Billy Bar trade -live but it doesn't seem to want to rush anywhere ! But locked in ten pips.

One of my "research" charts.
The low time frame research with NZD
5 minute chart appears to have trade-able price action TA wise but lots of pips between bars !
I have shown an additional chart on the one minute time frame which seems to have manageable pip moves (for me anyway) with less "fright" factor

Thanks Claudia -much appreciated. Sometimes you feel really confident regarding a trade due to what you have seen in the market many times before. I expect you, with your background and experience, experience such things unconsciously. It is like an "elastic" effect (plus yesterdays high was just above) -thus a confluence of things.

Mrs T made me a strong cup of coffee -Maybe that's why I shorted at the extremes

I attach a DAX chart on 3 minutes. See the bounce off yesterdays high? Doesn't happen everyday but I like several things to come together like yesterdays high, Pin bar and trend etc. This could be a replacement for Brent ?

Bonus was a bounce Long (Non "Billy" trade) off ma and with trend.
