This pair cannot stay up here if commodities are falling. However if price action says buy i.e price closes above the down trend line

Halloween chart orgy

Light sweet crude oil, daily (CLZ15)
We heard from several international oil companies this week. Cost cutting and project postponement was a recurring theme, which probably helped cause the whiplash reversal. Back to range trading, I suppose.

DAX spot index, monthly
ECB is likely to increase the QE dose on December 3rd. I'm expecting main European equity indices to have recovered to 2015 highs by then, or at least not far off.

USDCHF, monthly
Closing in on formidable resistance. No bias. The pair looks undervalued but that's before you consider the large long-term difference in inflation rates.

XAUUSD spot, weekly
Was hoping to see 1220 again for a chance to reload on shorts, but then FOMC stomped on it. December lift-off is highly data-dependant so could still happen.

Thanks for the chart. I still think price is going down and will not take out the recent high. I am looking to sell 48 area if we can get there looking for 35 at least

I agree with you that more QE can bring on more rally in the european stock markets. With it should continue the $ rally and the tanking of the euro

Looks like it is holding and reversing. Not a symbol I normally watch but it hit 50% retracement (note I truncate pin doji bars - at top in this case) and horizontal resistance as well as that uptrending green line:

Thanks SunTrader for your posts. I know the $ has more upside legs based on the weekly chart. But as you know it would not be in a straight line and the market tends to wrongfoot traders.

I almost shorted the nzdjpy and the only thing that stoped me was that I like to see a daily close rather than just a break before taking action. Sometimes it makes me too late for to a trade though

Depending on the market I do this as well. But yesterday it already broke support and today resistance held so ???

hey I have just found this thread. I am going to subscribe as I work as a Director in a Pharma company and have 'zero' mental capacity for any trading in the 9-5 window.

i am am also from the UK. Do you mind if I ask an obvious question. Over the last years since you started the thread .... Has it worked? Can you make a good profit trading outside the 9-5 window?

Hi Cr463ad. The answer is absolutely yes. A lot of traders are intraday traders. I am an end of day trader 99 percent of the time. I check out what the market has done at the end of the trading day and decide what to do. Absolutely yes this method is profitable.
