Yep, thats what im talking about, shorts sitting @ 186.20/10, just wanna see a reaction after a re-print.

Add: If they liquidate their positions, we could observe significant momentum to the upside.

Would love to see the reaction myself there, I know what you mean when you say tick-chart emotional, I see it too. The more it stays here at 80, more lovely it looks for weekly target.

Staying short from 186.02. Not only Aso warning against further easing now. There is anxiety about weakening the yen further from these levels. Fears about reduced consumption as yen crosses too high could cause the consumer to close their purse strings. The concerned are saying now that other means to hit the 2% have to be used. More yen bashing won't get them there.

Good point, Id like to sell 186.90/80 though, hope we get there next week.

Then again it is up to the BOJ members to decide and it could be a total shock and awe event next Friday just like last Halloween. It's just now that we are closer to the release odds are inching toward the BOJ taking a pass this time.

Remember this day. Was it like 500 pips almost without any retrace? I was on the road for two days with no chance to trade, all I could do was watching it go up relentlessly. But no idea what to expect from BOJ - will probably just place stops.

Hi. New to forexfactory. Been trading the GBP/JPY-GBP/USD spread. At the current volatility levels I'm looking to short the spread (short GBP/JPY long GBP/USD). We're seeing reasonable levels of co-integration on the the daily. Anyone else doing stat arb on this?

I was trading options on the sell side and got totally blown out on the news release last Halloween. Oh yes, I recall that day.
