We had a rather chilly day yesterday... Swamp saw a lo of 23 deg at around 6:30 am before turning up to around 45... Very clear out there, a beautiful day.

Farmer's Almanac still saying it will be wet and cold down here this winter.......I sure wish they would change their mind......Spent yesterday afternoon getting all the covers on the gear on the deck.....We should be about ready for winter.....

Yes, Ol' Jack Frost nipped my garden a bit night b4 last... No big damage. Covered tomatoes last night... Zucchini about done, still producing, but very slowly... Pollination a problem... Peppers at a standstill...

Yes, think I will clean up this Winter when plants are done, instead of waiting for Jan/Feb/Mar (Spring?) as I usually do.

I usually plow mine up after cutting it down and then its ready to till in the spring...........

Well, in fact I usually don't wait til' Spring, but start looking for a nice day or two to clean up any time after 1st of the year... Maybe I will wait... Save a little something to do.

I'd like to have a 50 X 50 tarp and cover a section of it but I'm afraid the deer would cut the tarp all to pieces running over it..........

Yes, they can do lots of damage, and tarps are not cheap.... Swamp appears to have many deer around...

Ditto on the PA... We are warming up, so it seems... 53 deg ATM with mid 70s forecast... Maybe I'll get some blossoms on my tomato plants if warming trend continues.........??

Very strange.... Many yrs ago on a visit to my dear father's grave on All Saints Day, Nov 1, of course, I saw a tomato plant that someone had planted in the planter that borders a seating area in front of the mausoleum where he lies.... It had just set blossoms, very recently, looking fresh as the dew....
