Divergence, I m using Ninjatrader and this is what I got from the help section. Do i need to change the settings to 19? I m using 18R now and it seems ok

Range Bars
A Range bar is based on a specified tick* price range. The bar will plot until the price range is broken. A new bar will then start plotting. For example, each historical bar in the 4 Range ES 09-10 chart shown below is exactly 4 ticks (1 point) as measured from hight to low as displayed by the vertical line of the Ruler drawing tool. (The "Y value" of 1.00 shown in the Ruler's display box is equivalent to 4 ticks.)

Hi, anyone trading ES? I've just started looking at 8R as I only want to trade until 11.30 EST. The 18R gives very limited signals or none at all for ES at the time period I intend on trading. I am using the midnight to 9am cut off for trend determination. Looking at 2 points gain and stop.

Divergence, do you have any general criteria to determine the gains and stops for any symbols?

you may have days with no trades but when market moves it works. Same criteria as cl.i have move to clv5 which is dec 2015 more volume than nov
