It seems like you trade the impulsive move of the 4 hour time frame instead of going retracement and bounce.

The pairs on my watch list have already made strong moves and some of them maybe over-extended or may make a correction (retrace) and continue to move in the original direction. It is a Friday and I don't want to lose any of my gains for the week so I am giving myself the day off. Sometimes the best trading decision is not to trade.

The stop loss depends on the currency, but the last swing high/low or behind usually around 30-40 pips or so on EA but can be a lot smaller than that, if it is bigger than 50 pips I would wait for a retracement. I didn't look at any other timeframe when I took those trades, I'm looking for rejection of pivots along with lower swing high or higher swing low or divergence and m15 starting to go in the same direction, in fact exactly the same as I look for if I'm trading h1 or h4 but on a smaller timeframe.

no no no D - you are a phenomenal trader - set your plan in motion - had targets - hit targets - THATS IT - a win - job done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Success - never look back bro and turn win into loss - how many times have i seen that before - trader after trader - wat you want to say is next YR you will reset your targets etc but for now your are on track - eyes focused - never look back!!!

If you look at yesterdays trades, the first EA trade went through the pivot came back down and made a lower high, I could have taken it on the candle before but there was only 17 pips to the next pivot so I waited till it crossed through it, the second trade, it tried for the pivot again and failed and with 30 pips to the previous swing low I decided it was worth the risk. The GA trade price went up through the daily open and then turned around and made a swing low plenty of room to the next pivot so worth taking. GJ was the more worrying, the only thing it had reached was its ADR for the day but it made 2 higher lows by the time I took it, lovely pa at the trendline so I took it there hoping it would reach the weekly pivot which it did.
