Hello, Folks.

Please post here all brokers you know of that allow telephone trading (in case of platform outage).

Thank you all for the cooperation,
MrJinks.

Usually brokers will give you this access if you have big account. Just ask them.

Then again if you are a tradrr who use small TF or a heavy scalper direct telephone line won't help at all.

Good luck in finding the suitable broker!

I think most brokers offer phone call for closing positions when there is a platform problem.
For opening positions by phone i have no idea. Most brokers have live chat support so you can ask, no?

Yes ask. Say to them you're considering to increase your account size to the range of $25k coz this is the minimum for the broker to really get busy for your convenient and serve your extra demands. There is a layer of service in this businesses too you know...for example: $200 is the entry, $1k ECN, $25k is VIP, $100K is VVIP and for $1M they'll let you sit with one of their top traders in in their HQ.

It is imperative that your broker has phone option to close or open trades.. If they don't leave them immediately and find one that does.

It should be part of your risk management.

Yes but they won't offer this ohone access to just every one. Sadly that's just how things are with this business. Probably it's still not cost effective yet to offer every one this access.

There are brokers out there who offer phone service to everyone, whether you have $200 in your account or $2 million.
Those who skimp on this service have no real customer service and I wouldn't bother with them.

By phone service you mean the clients can open new positions and close trades?
It goes against business logic but it's good news if they do this and can continue doing so.
Do you mind sharing the name of the broker. If it's a top notch broker then I'm sure every one will be glad to get this information or if it's been mentioned in this forum before just share the link.

Phone access in theory is one thing, actually reaching someone during a complete life server outage is an entirely different thing.

if mt4 is down on computer, use mt4 app on mobile to close trades... mt4 app is hosted by metatrader directly, high chance of it going down is close to none.. faster than u calling and closing order

There is a site that in the search criteria for brokers has the option of "phone trading". If it's not myfxbook, it's probably another one that shows up in the first 20 when you google "forex brokers"

If you can't find it just make a list of the brokers you are interested in and it shouldn't take long to figure out on live chat or through email if they offer such a service.

I know IG markets, XM and hy markets offer phone trading. At XM you can do it even on a 5$ micro account.

We'll I think times passed when platform breakdown was a common issue. But well I think I have telephone trading at Hotforex, though haven't tested it.

I just like to mention this, as I've some IT knowledge on this, Even though MT4 is hosted by MetaTrader, it required to connect to the Broker Server, if Broker server is down, it mean MT4 Mobile App will also be affected..

I firmly believe that Telephone trading is something that belongs to the past. Personally, I would use such option only in case of emergency. I strictly speak from the perspective of a retail trader.

Yes, imagine a broker without a phone service, and when you are stuck in a place without good Internet Connection?
