Hi Fartist. I like your thread. Only way to consistently make $$$s trading forex for me.
Making up a list at the moment to identify forex pairs to trend trade over the next few weeks, along with a list of those to avoid & those approaching major break-outs.

I'm nowhere near 100 trades yet so still pending my expectancy. My only change is I'm taking 50% off at the swing high. Beginner nerves v drawdown - drawdown is winning at the moment! At the end of 100 trades I can just double the profit from the ones I trailed, compared to what I got to see how much more beneficial it is to not take off anything at the swing high

There is no any matter, you can check your expectancy rate...

GBP/NZD the only pair trending that I can see at present. If anyone knows of any others, please let this thread know of them.
Several Pairs on the verge of major break-outs & may be trend tradable this or next week. EG, NU, GJ, AU, GC, EA, UC, UJ, EU, GU, & Gold.
A few pairs to avoid completely at present. EJ & AC.
I will post when I trade any pair that breaks out to start a potential trend.

As with any trading method, TIMING is paramount for the trade to be successful with minimal draw-down.
im a trend follower...im long audcad,nzdusd and nzdcad

Cheers mate. I'm more interested in pairs with a history of past "nice trends" Aud/Cad does not fit that criteria. NU is good, but not sure where NC is aiming for.
I'm now short, GN, GA, EA & UC
Long, Gold, AU & NU,
Watching EU GC GJ EC UJ GU & EN

i made good money shorting audcad in 2013....i was short GN took my profits im looking for new entry esp if my audcad doesn work..im watching ga..abit early for me yet..im looking at gu and others u mentioned....did well with gc so im always watching that one

curious are you trading 20 day donchian channels and trend lines???...i have a 3 step methodology adx, parabolic sar and put it together with the ichimoku cloud

The hardest part of trend trading is establishing your trade. Once the trade is established & your SL is moved to BE or better you cannot lose. Once the first pull-back is completed & price moves in your direction it is just a matter of moving the SL after each subsequent pull-back & adding more trades. Traders new to trend trading often panic & pull out of the trade whenever a pull-back occurs. This is a normal reaction, but you must learn to sit the retracement out even when seeing your winning position being eroded. Look to the past on any given pair to see it's history of retracement levels. There is an old saying. "Look left trade right" Often the retracement level can be calculated & traded as a counter trade. tricky but it can reap extra pips if you know what you are doing.
