Eyap hah hah down again. Screw this, I'm not using them anymore even if it's just for monitoring multiple charts. Maybe they pulled the plug as too many people are again making so much money hah hah. It will be back again once retails position turns back to red don't worry.
I reported those unacceptable long down times on the platform to IC's support some 2 years ago, but they never acknowledged the issue and blamed my computer, the internet connection, the installation etc. So, it seems like after 2 years they still have not solved the issue and hence lose many potential customers like ourselves. With such awful customer support, I guess they will be out of business soon.
Had a chat with one of their support tech this morning who reckons the problem is with their ISP. I didn't bother to keep a record but the guy said that any lost money due to today's outage would be reinstated after the usual emails etc.
Whatever or wherever the issue lies, it's really not very good at all. Some kind of public statement from them wouldn't go amiss.

IC Markets would like to acknowledge the network disruptions that occurred over the last week and a half, and extend an apology to any trader who was affected. IC Markets strives for 100% uptime of our network and platforms to provide traders with the best possible trading environment. This is why we must stress that we take incidents like this very seriously and have taken immediate steps to mitigate the risk of another disruption as well as implemented larger plans to overhaul our network and hosting infrastructure entirely.
For just over a week IC Markets has had intermittent internet related failures which meant some clients were unable to connect to our MT4 servers. Monday 5th was hardware related whereas issues over the remainder of the week and early this week were ISP related. As a result this ISP has been completely removed from our infrastructure indefinitely. The removal process of the ISP caused downstream issues which is why there was continued disruptions to the service today. Now that the ISP is removed we do not foresee the same issue occurring, however, we remain on high alert for the rest of the week.
Encouragingly the causes for the issues were identified in real time although the fixes that were put in place to restore immediate connectivity took longer than we would all like. Again, we have to acknowledge that this isnít good enough and take we encourage anyone affected by the disruption to contact [email protected]. IC Markets are fully committed to ensuring we maintain the most reliable trading infrastructure possible.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for trading at IC Markets. If you would like a call to discuss the above further then please let our support team know [email protected].
IC Markets needs a major infrastructure overhaul. They have been really stable since I have opened with them a little more than a yr ago but for the past week, including today, disconnections are happening a bit too frequently. Hope you guys fix this asap.
