Posting this for others because I know you are aware of this already - the effect on coffee and sugar the drop the Brazilian Real has had vs the dollar and other major currencies.

Now as for Dow 30 eMini I find it fairly straight forward - if you exclude very volatile periods - like yesterday NFP announcement 355 point drop and 44 point rise. Wowee.

But here was my signal on M5 chart (bar in green box) to go long above bottom:

2 reasons
bar was a trend candle, the first one to close above a red resistance levels and actually got 2 at once and
close above minor prior swing pivot high 5 bars back.

And as moves often do, up or down, it followed BBands. I got a 2 SD's(red) and a 3 SD's(blue) but set for length of 24 which equals 2 hours on a 5 minute chart. 12 is too whippy IMO. Although BB's are just reference points. Price and time decide it all.

Soybean oil

This commodity appears to be the weakest of the soybean complex. When they fall the oil falls hardest and when there are rallies in the complex it rallies the least as well. My thoughts are on the chart. Please note that relevant fundamental data will be released on Friday and it might be better to steer clear of the grain complex till after the release. Whichever way price goes after the release will probably continue for the next few weeks

Hi,

I would like to understand your situation. I've looked into you history and you have indeed been trading for years. I want to know how you find the perfect strategy. Do you initially have try many strategies and find the most profitable one to use or do you have only one strategy and polish it as you move on.

NZD made a comeback last week along with other risky assets. Short-end yields are also bouncing and, more importantly, milk prices started recovering over a month ago. If COT data is a guide to general positioning then there's a good chance we'll see further gains, but first 0.6700 has to go.

Over to GBP/USD. This pair offered easy lunch money last week as yield spreads signaled a solid bounce several days in advance.

I agree with you on the NZD 6700. Right out of the gates price is retreating. It is early days yet though. About the Gbp can you expand on the yield spreads and how one can get that data easily. Thanks for the post. Very informative. More please

Hi SunTrader. Thanks for your input on this matter. I also have always thought and applied yield issues to bonds but when Rbfx dropped that into forex I had to ask for more info on how he use it in forex trading. You never stop learning in this business.

It wasn't my chart but the article says the chart was comparing 10-year government bonds.
