price constantly flows in a space full of orders and change direction according to the size of those orders. there is nothing much to talk about the technicality of trading unless you know all of those existing orders. trading is mostly about the philosophy and personal belief. any technical talk can be summed up to a phrase "follow the flow, cut the loss, accumulate the profit". rinse and repeat.

yes, I forgot the name, also it is selling on the market too:

How it works? like ZigZag indicator.
It recalculates every times and it shows where it was the ideal place to turn the trade
I couldn't find an usage for that, just entertainment.

Apologize for the drawing it's a regular paint. I trade on 5M not 1M but here it is. I do agree though it is for medium to advanced traders but still new traders can take a look at it.

What long way? I've been trading for about five years now. I'm doing fine full time trading. Not sure what inner game you're talking about. You have charts and watch out for the news. I do not trade news. When there's news I wait to see where it will drive the market, than I can trade. Price action, supply/demand and candlestick patterns have been around for a while. It is actually one of the best strategies out there. From my experience that is what works for me and other traders that I've talk to for a while that use this strategy. I do not use indicators because indicators get data from the charts not the other way. I had my long way, maybe you are on the right path but you have the long way to go.

Don't trade 1M chart. I trade 5M and up. I just showed you an example that is all.

Yes but this thread is all about the technical stuff and statistics of what works and what not and not the inner game. Obivously the inner game is necessary, but tech too.
Mastering the mental game doesn't help if you don't have something SOLID to overcome a 50/50 + commissions bet.

Many traders not beginners reach that level "50/50 + commissions bet" very soon.That is the first step anyhow.

Mastering the mental it would help, and I would say is required when yo got a longer consecutive loss.

At leas for me has effect.

Let say you play 5-8 years. You earn a bit loose a bit, but overall is at BE or a small profit.
You keep the rules only 2% per trade.
And suddenly loss loss loss loss pause loss loss .... You will observe once it is missing 30% or more.
There it comes the importance to believe in your system + mastering mental and keep going or go back demoing again to find out why is happen again.

Of course....you must have statistical edge, that's obvious. But that edge doesn't come from one thing, but its combinations of everything.(method, mindset, experience, tools, information......timing)
The problem here is that the whole exercise of throwing different and random technical things and claiming that something works or it doesn't is just meaningless. Markets are changing all the time and going through different periods and phases. Something that works very well today may not work tomorrow. Different tools and methods are effective under different conditions and in the hands of different people. My methods maybe will not work for you and vice versa.
The job of the trader is to determine correctly the present state of the market (the context) and to apply the appropriate strategy and tools.

Absolutely spot on.... Most of the straight forward mechanical, 'trade like this', methods don't even achieve this ratio.. It's the instinct and experience of the trader that's the magic ingredient in the recipe.
