does anybody wanna see my kitty? I can't believe what a nice trade this is...in for 5 centavos + comms and looks to be good for net out $2.00 +/-, and that over a huge range for the underlying. Almost too good to be true, but there it is. I just need iv to stick around and so maybe NFLX can jump around a bit, but the sweet spot on 10/14, just before the crash, is around $112....

AMGN ER's 10/28, looking for it to rebound to the former consol range $150-$155 with elevated or ascending iv pre-ER, same play as NFLX above, look for u/l w/ ER a few weeks out, get in diagonals fotm with good possibility for maintaining or rising options iv, look to exit before the ER

I have a SPY Oct/Oct4 $200 calls calendar, pretty good stack, paid more for it than I usually do (18c + comms), got in on 9/28 when SPY dipped hard under $190 and iv ramped up, not the best weather for calendar shopping.....but now it looks like it has a chance for a nice finish......maybe net 90c out.....knock on wood ........ looking at big round number $200 around big monthly opex is no accident and if we get into next week and SPY tries to pin there TF will look like genius....even better, he will get paid

scan others with ER's in Oct5 or Nov1 - look at TSLA in Nov1....

Rally into monthly opex and then weakness the next week was pretty much the pattern for the whole year (at least 80%+ of the time). Looking good so far.
Hope is dangerous in this game.

I have neglected my option trading in past month or two... still not confident to hold more than just 2-3 different positions. Worked hard in another aspect of my trading -> scalping, and I have improved my TA skills. Starting from June, every day I am writing trading journal again (a useful thing to do). Although I have made (some) money in last 4 months, there is plenty of room to improve. June was positive, July negative (40% of June wiped out), August and September positive. Looking for a 3 month winning streak.

Currently reading The Disciplined Trader from the late Mark Douglas. Plenty of room to improve my trading, and focus remains mainly on indices.
Hope is dangerous in this game.

Burned my hand pretty hard once on NFLX, my biggest option trading loss so far. I was thinking it cannot move 15% back then. But it can. It can move more than that.

if my NFLX kitty does what she's supposed to do, I will be out before the ER and the big move....I need NFLX to flatline around $110 +/-

yes, I am out of all SPY condors now, looking for a continuation for /ES next week north of 2000, and I will start thinking about selling call spreads

Kit-ty! Kit-ty! Kit-ty! NFLX kitty will start blowing up, any day now....

sell orders, hope springs eternal. Looking to sell a Oct front week on the SPY O4 $207 calls, which I bought for 14c some days ago. I almost never try legging into spreads....cuz >half the time I end up with something worse - like this, but if SPY will blast thru $200 this week I will get something back and end up with a $207 calendar....my idea originally was just to get in the O4 calls cheap, let those run....lots of R at $207 +/-, might be tough sledding above there....but I still think there is a good chance of revisiitng $210+

Pretty much hand sitting here, but filled up my SPY IC plate with the last 25+ VXX spurt we had ... . I'm tapering off from doing IWM/QQQ/DIA, since the occasional, small volatility edge in the other index ETF's isn't really worth doing if you just want to manage a couple of things. Other crap I've got on is oddball stuff that I will be glad to see the back of ... . Makes for additional housekeeping ... .

Still pretty much tuned into the "all IC all the time" channel ... .

yeah, mee tooo, I bought out of SPY put spreads that I sold on that dip, all out for 10c against 60c in, so 50c credit out was good to see, but I'm a chickenshit & don't wanna get in anything short SPY until I see another dip to <$190, nothing with calls until I see a run over $200....could be a long wait, so I am trying cheap diagonals....

Crazy PA on NFLX today. I have AAPL, IBB, FB, GOOGL, AMZN, NFLX and few others on my watch list, that helps me to determine what is happening with /NQ... Today all this stocks were 2 - 4% down, NFLX included. Now it is 2% up... Low / high so far: $102.60 - $111.86 ...
Hope is dangerous in this game.
