SPY motoring above $200 like I thot it would and I have to make a decision on this calendar. still 6 td's to expiry and the chance at a sweet spot finish...maybe SPY bumps on $202 and drops back down....or, get a good profit now while it's near the P/L apex and call it good, maybe SPY keeps motoring up next week and runs the P/L back down towards b/e.

As usual, money in the bank talks loudest & I am trying to cash out for $0.68, a 50c net....

Holy shotzky ... . Love making money while at my day job ... . Out of 19 spreads of one kind or another today; mostly index/sector SPDR stuff put spreads put on on the dips, along with a little TLT action ... . Now I have to turn my attention to selling this rip; hope it sticks around 'til next week, since I'm not a fan of putting stuff on on Fridays (or Mondays for that matter). Fingers crossed for the kitties, TF.
Fireworks are fun ... as long as you don't blow your fingers off.

I won't be surprised to see a protracted battle around S/P 2020, but I think the bulls will make a run for August highs in October/early Nov....anyway, I love October...I am decorating my trade station with gold and crimson maple leaves and little punkins that I have sharpied smiley faces on....it's a glorious time!

got in & now own the O/O4 $207 calls calendar for 6c debit, below are all the bullish SPY spreads....I need to see a little pullback to <$200.50 tomorrow so I can get out of the $200 calls, then a grind up to $205+ next week

well with NFLX pushing up to the call strikes, the kitty is dead, and the trade is just a calls diagonal - still lots of potential if NFLX will stick around $115 +/- $1 until ER day....

come to daddy...trying to close O/O4 $200 calls for $0.55 net, will get it if SPY dips below $200.50, will take my chances on next week bull action. Closing $200 calendar today m/l breaks me even on all SPY+VXX trades for Oct expiry, anything else is gravy...

September was good to me (up 18.4%), but October's starting off a mixed bag. One trade -- that YUM -- could put a dent in my P&L; everything else is shits and giggles. YUM tacked on two bucks and change today, so there is now a whopping 14% chance that I will expire out of the money by Friday. Naturally, every little bit helps to the upside for a roll, which is the mostly likely outcome. That being said, gonna stick with it on mounting pressure that YUM spin off its Chinese business, which may fuel a speculative up-run in the stock ... .
Fireworks are fun ... as long as you don't blow your fingers off.

tt people did a study on post-ER trends, showed that a big ER up move usually followed by a uptrend, and vice-versa - but I don't remember what "usually" meant - something > 1/2 the time I'm sure.....sooo, definitely ride it and see what you can get back. I have some potential massive gains come Oct opex, but I'm not gonna brag about that, not the cowboy way....just quietly back up the truck and collect my profit tonnage, be on my way, we sure do thank ye.....

bigass NFLX pop brought the IVR down about 5% & that was enough to cut the projected kitty maxP by >25%.....squirrelly mofos.....now I need NFLX to slide back to the midpoint of the DD, around $103....the drop will pull the iv back up & still get me out >$1.00 net by judgement day

AAPL DD debits $0.11 will give back 2x-5x depending on what the iv does up to the 10/27 ER day
