Our new back deck is a pretty hard place to have coffee this morning but I tried it anyway.......

I'm wondering what this Winter may be like... Bird migrations this year saw much lower numbers than normal... I am pretty sure the severity of last yr's Winter is, at least partly responsible.

Last years winter was pretty tough......From the sound of the migrating bird numbers it may have killed off a lot birds.........That would be really to bad......

Yes, hope they get a break from the bad weather this yr... Will close Cable trade b4 NFP release... The hrs between 8:30, and 12:00 could be painful. Don't want to end an already unpleasant week with more disappointment.

Morning Whip, Rain which began Thursday afternoon let up early Saturday night... We are currently at 47 deg, and overcast... Closed Cable trade b4 NFP release on Fri... No reentry planned... ATM, G/A looks like best candiate, but will wait for channel break/closure...

Sunday morning was dry, but very overcast. After the rain, and windy conditions of previous 3 days, I was eager to get out to the Swamp to see if the winds brought in any birds... I was not disappointed........... A wow! day to remember....

Well, the birds move with the winds, when to their advantage... If not, they just sit and wait it out... Winds were from NE which apparently they liked... I set a personal record for raptor sightings, not counting Turkey, and Black vultures, 90 raptors sighted, including Eagles, Hawks, and Falcons....

That's a lot of birds and that's good.......Lost power Sunday afternoon.....Very high winds and driving rain caused some damage somewhere.....Ran on the emer. diesel for a little over 3 hours before they got it back up........That was my entertainment for Sunday...

Sorry to hear that you lost power... Hawk watching is fun, but not as rewarding as meaningful work, despite the responsibilities that work brings... You managed an emergency well... That in to be commended.
