the below chart shows ilan_Trio_V147's August back test for AUDUSD. the EA is one of the most profitable experts i have ever seen, can any body find a safe setting with 2015 Back test for that?

i think u won't avoid drawdowns here, no matter which settings you are taking - the key to success is to withdraw the profits once you are on a lucky run. in your example you've already made 300% profit: withdraw and enjoy your lunch even if u blow the original deposit afterwards from time to time.

Yes, but its better to do both, decreasing risk + withdraw part of profit frequently, and btw some traders like to use compounding to make their capital bigger.

But compounding is a real issue for martingale trading approaches, as u ALWAYS risk the full balance at each trade in the worst case. I am using several strategies on live accounts featuring martingale elements and therefor aware of the risk.

However, im gonna play with the settings to evaluate a "low-risk" setup. Will let ya know afterwards!

there are some ways to avoid losing all the balance:

-Some EAs like Forex Hacked pro has "StoplossPCT"
-You can check back tests and limit the EA's "level" field
After you limit your losses, it's better to spread your capital between several trades (EAs or EA + Manual Trading). this way your losses will be smaller.
*An important note that if we load EAs to several charts, without limiting All their losses, that will be very dangerous because if even one of trades goes in the wrong direction, can blow the entire account.

I've added two more capability to "swb grid 4.1":
sl_in_money; and trade_after_loss; which means if EA keep trading after a sl_in_money or not. note that i recommend to set it to false, because in my experience if the EA hits the sl, means that market condition is not ideal for several days.

i hope these modifications be useful for you, and im still waiting for your tested set files...

Here's some setfiles for Forex Hacked Pro...Have only tested the UsdCad set, wich earned me some pips today....Use them on H1.
