MMatermind posted a "Quantum_mm-mod" that allows you to put solid shorter quantum square inside a longer quantum square eg you make the inside square diff color , so the smaller tf squares make you aware the lower tf maybe offering an oppo to trade .

another trade set on the way to work this morning, just a single this time but it's my first + 100 pip gain

Notes:
1. Cycle 3 would have been nasty if QDC = 100 was left to close out the trades!
2. Manual over-ride applied allowing an anticipated exit higher up than the first Q signal box (not all long entries taken which means price has to push up higher to avoid a negative basket and potential trouble)
3. Not every cycle is going to be pretty hence the reason to monitor every cycle of trades

Turned into nice profit in the end!

I start to build longs on GBPCAD(I just put buy limit orders) .very strong sup ahead of us(hr4 chart + daily)

Hi all

An update on one of my trades this week, UC short on the h4 chart.

It has developed into an excellent trade now, with part profits already taken and stops and tps adjusted, this is a perfect example of patience and simplicity combining together which forms the basis of every trade I take, ie get into a +ve equity position on the trade and find opportunities to add on where possible at little or zero risk.

I've noticed that quite a few here and other threads use a plethora of indicators duplicating the same information splattered across their charts, which to me becomes indecipherable. Keeping it as simple as possible whilst achieving the correct information I believe is vital to long term successful trading, and that's the message today.

Each to their own of course, but some may want to think about reducing those "duplications" to maintain the clarity of where the price is that's all I'm saying.

Anyhow, here's my UC chart attached (the 2nd order was actually taken by an upper price t/l break as shown , which was in line with the red box zzz bias, ie down))

Nice trading, it looks like you've overcome the entry errors you had previously, and are now identifying the right time to take the trade on....keep it going mate.

Once you've gained more successful trades and experience, twhich judging by your recent successes shouldn't be too long, then you might want to think about how you can stay in a trade longer. The reason I say this, is because although good profit is good profit, it's frustrating to discover a few hours down the line that the 100 pips for example could have become 200, 300, 400 pips and really capitalise on the equity you would already have gained if you see my point.

Food for future thought!

Here's an example of one that I have my eye on. It's EJ on a a lower t/f than I usually trade off, this M30 chart is looking like it wants to take off long, and illustrates that all t/fs can be considered if the signals fit.

Most of the criteria is already met for me, but the final piece will be the lower price t/l break which I'm anticipating will be somewhere in the yellow rectangle region I've drawn, and that will be the point at which I plan to trade long.

We will see

I just wanted to add something to that last post which should help inexperienced traders to consider that are a must

a) A proven method
b) Justifiable reasons to consider an entry...an example was shown in last post as explained

Given a) and b), then the only ingredient needed is the confidence to execute the plan

This for newbies is often the tough part, when the doubt starts creeping in. My advice though is if a) and b) are satisfied, then take a small lot trade, your stops will prevent major damage anyway. If the trade fails, then it can only be either a) or b) at fault with this approach, and that can be tuned as necessary, as one or two have already proved on here and are now starting to achieve good results.

None of what we do on here is rocket science, just common sense, so don't be deceived into thinking otherwise, and master your chosen method, and the rest will fall into place.
