GBP/JPY + 190 Pips & Next day + 70 Pips
XAU/USD + 63 Pips
NZD/USD - 35 Pips
GBP/NZD - 17 Pips

TOTAL: + 622 Pips, good week

When I joined to PF in July 2013 my month salary was 425 USD. A year ago our national currency has collapsed almost twice. Now, I have my month salary 425:2=212.5 USD.

James's Traditional bar setup , Triple Bar high with lower close, along with TL break out .

Great Ad

I took this one too. The key here is will the pivot at the BRN of 2.4 hold. I took a retrace entry at this area. In my view the best entry is the retrace entry, this allows us to control our risk. My initial risk is 3% and i'm able to cut it down to about 1.2% .

Now we just see if we can hold/bounce to further reduce.

I've gone ahead and further reduced my risk leaving me with about .9% open risk on this trade. Again this is SO important. Crucial to my success

We'll see what the market wants to do at this point but being in control of my risk keeps me comfortable and sane.

here is another trade I took in the middle of the night on the hourly chart


Nice BUOB after a false breakout at a major swing low. Price close right above this area and I bought on a slight pullback. Because of the deeper retrace I used half my risk but ended up with a nice 2% gain which pushes me to 10.25% for the month. Which for me is fantastic and i'll take it as it's coming. But again the same process here of making sure we reduce our risk. Very quickly I had my risk reduced to .25% from initial 1.25%. Then to b/e before take profit hit

This may sound stupid, but Mike I have a psychological question: sometimes I can't help but doubting about buying even at good level when I saw good down trend ( see my red line channel). Like the AUD/CHF you posted. Doubts like "that's good level to buy, but what about the seller on the left?". Is okay to doubt on things like this? Does good level+PA is enough consideration?

Hey Xero

No stupid questions. I promise every question you have or will have I and everyone else have had at some point or people are dealing with similar issues.

The main point i'll make is only TIME and many many many trades/years later will your psyche get better and better. You'll trust your knowledge more and more and the doubt slowly gets less and less(never disappears completely )

But notice your red line is a perfect additional confluence to get long too. Price breaks the TL giving us a BUOB above the previous swing low that price failed to maintain under. So now we have even more reason to think buyers are taking over.

So here that actually strengthens the reason to look for buys. And at the end oft he day the level provides a LOW risk opportunity which is almost more important than anything
