Suggestion for EA 1.6.1 + versions

To ensure all trades in either a long or short cycle of trades can only be closed out in profit!

Setting:

Close _cycle_long ........... SET = True/False
Close_cycle_short .......... SET = True/False

Close_cycle_long IF Current_price >= Max_price_long_entries and >= Current_reverse_signal_price
(Conditions = must have at least 1 reverse signal box painted on chart) eg RED BOX

Close_cycle_short IF Current_price <= Min_price_short_entries and <= Current_reverse_signal_price
(Conditions = must have at least 1 reverse signal box painted on chart) eg BLUE BOX

This would be useful especially for higher TF setups using the EA (since closing a big cycle of trades out too soon could be nasty)

Like Shaolin had said much earlier, better no min distance between entries
No doubt 0000 to 0800 is the period
And 240 240 is the Q for GU

However to achieve like strategy tester has shown, no min distance, but lot cannot be the same from trade 1 to trade 12

So here is the modified version

As you can see the lot size across trades can be set individually

the bad side of this bigger drawdown
errggh....
so I think I need to alter the lot size or expand it to trade 26 individually
or later I will look into 1.3.0
but still learning...

I closed everything out tonight with a small loss. Just not comfortable letting it run with small equity. I will be working on the EA more this weekend. Also, working on getting some more equity to invest

You would save a lot of space in the inputs by filling the lots size in a string :

Inserted Code
input string  lots    =  "0.01,0.01,0.02,.........";

Then split the string into an array with the StringSplit() function.

This way also has the advantage to not be limited in the number of positions. It is the most flexible and easiest way to do.

Some has payed expensive lessons already in the past few years for grid and martingale systems and they don't want to pay more, because they know it is really expensive: both in time, both in money.

Maybe I have an investor, he will ask me first "how much can you lose?" and from a few years ago I am asking from myself the same thing: how much can I lose / cycle / trade / session / day , what is the risk.
I really like your idea to have it a SL based on equity and not per trade.
I will develop in my EA version to have the Equity part, but only from EA and only or that currency pair, because if I have a winner cycle at GU and a had losing at EU do not close all, just the losing ones, and only those which has in comment "myea" so if I add a trade manually to EA it will handle it.

For me other system, other entry/exit is working, not this quantum.
Presented a day, where it was a profit factor above 6.
Sadly is really hard to implement to trade with EA, that's why I am looking for a trade system which I could use with EA and meets my requirements.

to beginner they always trap to commercial EA this seller know how to find a pot in the market that they put small amount and that amount turn so big just a few months; Wanna see, see the images below
I put quantum_shaolin_1.2.1_modified_by_cipan_1.mq4 and set (run 0000 to 2359) as per image and start run at Feb 8, 2010
From 2k becoming 140k in just 15 Macrh 2010

Anyway, this is how powerful Grid EA can be
Because even I am beginner, I diid some reading about Forex and Grid since I decide to retire from working at factory
Hope GU can behave in this situation of time

By using lower lot size proportional (low drawdown) (I think will reach about 8K)

Consider making an option for x signal box before entry, 30% exit at 1st opposite box, another % exit after x number of opposite box. This can improve profit.

Sorry, but I do not understand. If your main problem is the martingale why you use it ?. The EA is sufficiently flexible to not use this concept. If your problem is you can not see the open positions because you're sleeping, go live in Thailand or Australia, but the 11% dd is for you, not for the EA.

All backtests for 2010 - 2012 show that quantum fails on any settings, the markets changed? tick data?
