Anyone know how to code a shift for an arrow so its not stacking up on top of another? SetIndexShift(2,DRAW_ARROW); not really working for me.

Hi all Here are 2 live GN short trades that I've just got involved in, the h1 chart had a decent set of signals and I timed my entries off the m30 in this case, and looking for 200+ pips or thereabouts with 2:1 rr. PA will determine what I actually do during the course of the trades however given the volatility of this particular pair. Cheers LL {image}
Closed oneof the trades at +180, 2nd trade adjusted stop to be+25 tp to 265 and see how it develops

Hi Ya'll, my result for the day on my live acc....It tried a multi-chart approach and had to keep changing the qde/qdc to adapt to market conditions...it was rough today....it was a real "wax on, wax off" day!!!! Green pips to you all.

It is a H4 chart, not M1.
But in M1 can happen the same thing.
Looking for ideas how to handle this case - pragmatically, but even with eyes.
One what I am thinking to track the HH, from where is made the LL counter trade.
First blue square will reset the HHTracker to 0.
Then around 21 jul , 2014. I will have a new HH this time from while I am on trade, so I can hope on ranging market. - or be this LH1
Then I will have 5 more LL signal to a new HH Jul 24, 2014 (LH2). I see by eye, but harder to set programming conditions for that, maybe a cross of a EMA...
Anyway this high is under the previous HH => this part it was a downtrend.
The third signal is at Aug1, 2014.
And here I can hope in trend reversal or looking for SL or even to change the direction.
This situation are in M1, and during Asia too even with GBP/USD Sept8 2015 moved 70-120 pip like this..
I don't want to run this EA or trade this system 6 month then loose all in 1 night or 3 days, I do prefer to earn less and have a worse case scenario handling.
It must not interfere with my manual trading or other pairs traded, ex Mastermind case with 4 charts. So pure Equity based DD not a solution, maybe calculations of this trades from Equity.
No way to use grid! Exactly this cases are blowing the account even faster with grid. It is just raising the risk exponentially. First you risk 2% then 6% then 20% then 100% ... and at my broker I need to cover the negative balance, since it isn't a MM ( that's what he claims )
Solutions:

Solutions:
- SL by pip from the first entry and continue hoping in reversal. Simple to implement. Not the best solution still will continue to wipe the account.
- Calculate the DD from this basket, this currency. If reach x% then stop and do not trade this pair until is restarted manually, maybe send an email too. Or restart after Y candle made and / or a new counter signal received ( hoping in market changed to a bit ranging or is a pullback)
- Stop all counter trend trades and enter with trend direction, until a slower EMA is crossed. In this way can make loss after loss, it's true, but maybe can cover the losses.
I know it isn't a holly grail, but as how it is now just a scheduled bomb to my account.

Which currency pair to pick, which timezone, which session, what Quantum settings?

I have been looking at variations to the Q settings based on if only 1 pair is traded (you might want a higher frequency of entries) compared to trading multiple pairs.
It's a very different approach and depends on timing to an extent.
By timing I mean if T+1 hour say from Tokyo Open has passed and no entries have been made on any pair then an adjustment to 1 or 2 of the Q settings of one or more pairs might be required.
Monitoring and managing the trades becomes very important.
In the case where you are only trading 1 pair then my GU setting for multiple pairs might not be the best solution for you or it might be ok.
My idea behind multiple pairs (2-4 pairs) is to simply increase profit whilst reducing overall DD... simple as that!

How about scanning multiple pairs with increased , decreased Q to find a "good entry"?
Ex there are 28 pairs, which I am interested, even in daily moves.
I will for a scanning for Q 1500, if not found any entry ten I do a scanning to 1000 if nothing then to 500-300-200-100-50. For sure is an entry with 50 in 1h from Tokyo open.
If I got an entry, then "remember for the Q as "Q_Entry" ex 300.
Then I wait half of that period of that one: 300, ex 150 candles and if not a sign of exit yet, then I will start decrease the Q for searching exits: 270-250-220-200-180-150-120-100-80-50-40-30-20 until I find at least 2 signals, then wait for the next one and exit.
It will cut my wins too, but it seems a lot better solution then a SL or Equity% triggered at the worst case!
With this system the main problem isn't the leak of wins but the possible exorbitant DD.
It may fail here:
Because it was a news release, but it will have a "fear" implemented and it will search for an exit

Perhaps now it is obvious why I may not post all entries for all pairs traded per day........ its overkill!
I do however remain very very busy in the background managing open positions throughout the trading day.
