Entry 2 pips below signal candle on decreasing CCI, close to 025 line, SL ok at the moment of trade. .

H1 - market was too far, I doubted that this is a good place but took this position anyway, I have a problem with buy and sell stops so this was a little training in quick entering a position. As far as I know this system requires very fast execution, it needs "speed training" in entering and managing a position (read Clive's post no 8635) to prevent bigger losses. I didnt use Clive's method here, consciously, as I am still learning the ropes

Position taken at reaction to 175 lwma - so certainly a "no trade" area, positions close to 175 lwma are I think acceptable when lwma's cross and start to diverge, they are more risky. After a long move - it is rather a lottery.

To summarize: "almost proper entry", improper position management, improper place.

Hope you do not mind me butting in but I like how you post, take a look at the daily range do you think there is more range left for the downside or are you happy that decent support as been tested, if there is a bounce, what target areas do you see, were would you place a emergency stop ?
Please tell me if I am annoying you and I will just follow your posts from the side lines, which ever way keep posting

Hi Dave, it is always nice to read your post and remarks, please accept my apology that I maybe didnt respond to your former posts properly.

Regarding your last post, I will take definitely next pullback on EUR/JPY. Now a picture and explanation and answer - I will edit this post.

Back to my previous entry:

1. I saw a nice setup on EUR/JPY at this moment, price bounced at 175 lwma so I thought about short, consciously violating the principale of no trade when two lwmas have different colors. At this point market moved strongly up.


2. Analysis of higher TF-s is a next step in my decision process. Yes I saw a potential for a move down, strong support from July was broken and market reversed "in thin air" so for me it is a sign that this move might be not finished yet. I believe that market should have a strong reason to reverse and I saw none here.

3. Assesment of a potential of the move. I am not counting at this time (of start learning this system) about enormous pips. I am learning how to properly execute a trade: properly analyse situation on M5, H1, M1 (if all required principles are present), entry properly (two pips above/below the signal candle), properly manage a trade to its end (managing a trade after entry according to Clive's rules is an art.. requires a good feeling of the market which I am working on, my losses now are conscious, and not exceed 5-6 pips.

4. Your question about SL - I am putting Sl as fast as possible after entry or if the entry is by buy/sell stop I put it "optically" initially 10 pips from entry level.

And here is the interesting part - such SL is only for securing a position, which means that if a market will move against me lets say 3-4-5 pips I will exit at a loss. Thats I believe is a spirit of trade management around entry point according to Clive - post 8635).

5. Targets - at this stage of my develpment I put a TP initially at next 025 line or two. In case market moves quickly in my favor. I am counting on 15-20 pips now, and if market moves and stalls or slightly reverses - I am out.

In the future I will manage trades differently, now I cannot properly assess the potential of the move, I know too little. So I cannot answer your question about the situation on EUR/JPY, as my goal here is not to maximize reward and minimize risk thanks to understanding the system and markets - but to properly analyze, enter, manage and exit. I am at this moment on mechanical stage of this system, I am a beginner here..

Then I will work on every stage of my decision process step by step..

Guys Clive Method works FULL STOP
I can vouch that Clive and his trading partner are banking many many pips from the method now I must admit I am no were near as good as those 2 guys but I am having ago, here is a little trade I have just done only 10pips as you can see its gone far more but I have my own reason why I took the 10pips today, look even on my own pair how many pips were available if you had only traded as Clive is teaching and showing us

Meanwhile EUR/JPY fell without the possibility of joining.

But I have a tool for such cases, if a market moves fast I would put a sell stop 2 pips below last low (yellow line) and a SL in two possible places:
1. Above 025 line - rather safe place, and
2. 2 Pips plus spread above breakout candle.

TP at second 025 line below (less than 50 pips), not at the proxy one, but next in case market falls suddenly, if it stalls at the first 025 line and not breaks it violently - I will exit by hand.

These moves should have momentum, so I think at this moment that SL 2 pips plus spread will do.

I would close at signs of reversal. I would put there a bigger position than usual - short stop, move should be in plus in fraction of a second.

I am not doing this at this moment because I am learning the ropes, I have no experience with fast moving markets with 200 pips of daily ADR. But I think this entry will be very profitable, now it needs be worked out.

Hope I didnt write something really stupid, sometimes I am laughing at myself and my English

Please if you have any questions I will try to answer it, if there will be something obviously stupid I hope Clive corrects me, I am a still a beginner, but also it is clear to me that answering clarifies my approach to Clive's system and systematizes it

Clive I cant workout how to get those other 2 indi's into a separate folder with Top 28 trenders
as shown on page 410,can you just put them into indicators, you're showing them in an individual folder

LOL That made me laugh! Thank you. The file works like Windows normally does. Create a file under MQ4 / Indicators. Call it what ever you want. When you cut and paste the other two indicators, open that new file and place them in there with the TT indy. Now they are all in one folder. Sound correct everyone?

Thank you Dave, as I understand from this chart you use Murrey Math to forecast a possibie TP?

DId you have a sucess with this indicator? At this moment I wouldnt use it as I am at early stages of learning Clives system, so final target it is something that will concern me later. But anyway thank you

Met the guy paid good money for his manuals/CDs and some end of day software (lapsed now) he talks in numbers and never gives a straight forward answer to anything except when he tells you to buy him a beer, the guy as been landed in a spacecraft from another galaxy, but he knows his stuff, its been a very long journey trying to make head and tail of his work (well over 3 years on and off) but yes in my own way think I understand it enough to have it on my charts, I call it laying the lines out on the pitch ready to do battle in the areas I fancy, nearly every game is played on a pitch with lines on
My view is that every pair as to put a range in every day so by tracking how the range is expanding (Clives ABCD & Avges etc) HH & HL or LH & LL it gives me clues or even my battle zone 8.00 9.00 start to the day. In general I look to Buy HH and Sell LL as the range expands, The trick with Murrey is combining the bigger picture with a intra day view, now I am adding Clives method its become a lot clearer to scalp from level to level (lots of rules)
Used to swear by Pivots Daily Wkly Monthly they do a very good job but once you get the handle on Murrey (not easy) I think is stuff is better, just so hard to learn

Wow!!! Some great charts and trades here today, I can see you're not missing me any...

Love to see these strong trending charts everywhere and full of positive pips on the old pipometers too..

Its nice to see my threads in safe hands with guys like OAPDave , TwoBooks, x58 and my old friend Henryloving cracking in the pips, keep it going guys as theres plenty more where they came from that's for sure..
