Position closed at 19 pips in 4 minutes. Now I am looking for a slight correction up and a breakout short.

Next position closed. Opened after breakout of a flag but market had no momentum so I after a minute I was yhinking about closing it and finally after 2 minutes decided to close it. Seconds after matrket exploded up.

Conclusion: I believe it was sound entry, good position management and good decision to run out. Now waiting for a next short

Position taken too low, market trushed while i was taking a position. 8 pips in a fraction of a second.
Decided to exit immediately but it went 6 pips down so after taking SL i secured position. Closed a while after that.

Assesment: Entry two, three seconds late. Good position management. Loss of a fraction of pips.

Conclusion - I know this pair too little, I should study it better. Anyway I am looking for a next short.

TwoBooks I can see that you are a very good guy and trader, you could add a lot to this thread, but after posting the above why do you still post this Hurst Method here, myself I do find it a little interesting but not something I really want to get into at the moment, perhaps you could do as Clive requested and team up with Devontrader and start a new thread I am sure some of the guys would understand it more showing how and why you take trades and the out comes, again I must say it deserves its own thread so with all the success D/T is having I am a little surprised in the reluctance to start one with your good self showing us the trades like you and Clive have done. Please sort it could be very informative to us all, but as a stand alone thread. To be honest how good you seem as guy and a trader I would just like a heads up on Pure Clive Trades to keep me on the right track now that the Boss is trading and will only drop in from time to time

Hi Dave, my bad, thanks for being honest and also thank you for your kind words.

I removed Hurst envelopes from my screen. I dont use them for entry, In fact I wanted to test them how much they fail I mean that Clive has written before that he didnt took a position due to closeness to the "outer band" hovever I have seen that frequently price cuts out through those bands. Maybe it is a normal behavior when we are dealing with the pairs with a strongest slope? It might be so, which means that bands are not quite good as a targets. On the other hand it is a problem to pinpoint proper moment of entry using envelopes, so I do not think they are useless here - but rather eventually needs further testing. Yes, maybe it is a good idea to stsrt a new thread but not about the Hurst system but about what it can and cant do. I do not want to hijack Clive's thread. So this is my last post with Hurst methods mentioned, again sorry folks, forgive me, have a nature of a relentless scientist with not so good human skills, please take this into account.

Below: took another one +7 pips.

Opened due to price being below green and a 00 line, market couldnt push through it for half an hour, CCI was decreasing (although not crossing a 100 CCI line prior the moment of trade). I would call this trade not 100% in agreement with all Clive's rules. In the picture below you see secured position. SL = entry level.

Exit due to market slowness.

Every time I take a trade demo I ask myself if I put on it my money live, for example a grand, and in case of this one the answer would be no, I took this one rather for research what will happen in this place. I have so small experience at this moment with Clive system, maybe it will take me a month to be better.

Market reversed sharply, two lwma's crossed, I am waiting for the first pullback, it can be shallow.
The best place for entry would be a 50 line after CCI signal (below 100 line and decreasing)

No problem TwoBooks, please stick around and keep posting your ideas on Clives Method, hope the thread will not mind but this would be my view of your chart using Clives Method and using Murrey Maths just to mark out the pitch, Murrey is off subject but just lets you eye ball price to were it is in the bigger picture

Position opened properly, according to the rules (both lines have the same color, CCI is decreasing agret crossing -100 level, 2 pips above the green candle), position closen due to error, I thought that I opened second position at the same time and tried to close it. F...k.

Hey folks I am used to take screen at every important decision point, it helps me to clarify and and speeds building experience, but at this moment I am not sure if it will be too much for this thread, maybe I will post only screens with completed transactions? As I mentioned before I dont want to offend Clive in any way, but if I am fully in into something then I work a lot,and maybe not everyone likes that.

Short info about my trade analysis method, it speeds the process of learning, I developed it some time ago and it worked great.

1. First screen at the moment of transaction - we got a picture of the marker at this moment. It serves after some time to judge if a position is according to all the rules (two lines the same color, CCI after crossing a 100 line and dec=reasing), position taken 2 pips above/below signal candle. This speeds up learning of proper pre-trade analysis. Decreases quickly number of errors with entry.

2. Screens at important points / moments of decision. This steps speeds learning position management. I can review this and judge if my decision process regarding tm was sound and accordinbg to my rules.

3. Screen at the moment of exit, just after that, not 10 or 20 minutes after. This helps in analysis if the decision of exit was proper. What market did after my position is most of the time irrelevant, sometimes I like to see what market did after that but these screens have to be separated, eventually it might serve as a input to preparation of a new set of rules for exit.

4. Post trade analysis, conclusions, improvements, remarks.

Maybe I will take positions and put one document here at the end of a day, it would be a single one, not many. Eventually if I have a question to Clive I will post it here separately.. I think it would be better for us all.

Thank You Dave, can you explain the trade setup using your picture of it? Is it proper that I took long? I see green area here so I think yes.

By the way I must admit that I am angry at myself, closed most profitable position of the day so far due to a technical error. And admitting it I will relax and not to allow this to interfere with the next positions I will take today.

In my view yes, After all I have said must be mindful to Clive talking about Murrey Maths but if you think of them as Pivots once you see what you think are support/resistance levels and price as tested them price will attack the next nearest level and test that, some levels are more important than others hence the labels and line titles if you add range to the view you then can have a guess on how many lines can be reached
To me its just marking the pitch out and fitting Clives Method over it then finding the best zone to trade, in respect to the thread will not go into depth on Murrey can point you to some info if you would like

Hi Mary, I had the same problem getting templates to work, so I did the following. I am sure there must be an easier way, but anyway here goes.
Open MT4 go to File/Open Data Folder/MQL4/Indicators
then copy and paste all the indicators from where ever you saved them.
Do the same with the templates. File/Open Data Folder/Templates. Close and reopen MT4.
All twelve indicators seem to be in the templates. As I am sure you know you can make up and save your own templates. To save space on charts there is no need to have Top 8 trenders in each chart, I only have it in on one chart.

Here is TopTrenders indicator for backtesting. Non repainting, works on M1 timeframe like M5 TopTrenders. Displayed value = position on top trenders list. Settings:
tf1 = 1 (instead of M5, but we multiply by 5 tf1malength and tf1lookback)
tf1malength = 175 (35 * 5)
tf1matype = 3 LWMA
tf1maprice = 0 Price Close
tf1lookback = 60 (12 * 5)
