After a year studying Technical analyses and putting time and money.....Really i don't know what to say!!! Just i can say thank you for saving the rest of my life and money Plain and simple can you give a solution (cheap one) to trade directly? it's obvious when a broker provides high leverage It's a scam because they cannot and don't want to earn from their own money just in spread. sounds stupid to me. If it was no leverage it could make sense, It's your money totally and they play role like a exchange office. but with leverage..... Maybe i can not understand

Interesting thread but assume we have a fixed money and each transaction, one win one lose but broker charge commission. After a number of transactions, those money went all to broker. Broker must be the one making consistent profit in market.

Yes but it doesn't work that way, displacing old technology or companies means that a more productive alternative has been found adding a positive net sum to the economy, despite any transfer among one competitor to another etc.

The stock market (the economy) is never zero-sum, that's why we we on a world-net basis grow wealthier and wealthier. Back to currency - To give you a simple example, if all currencies were devalued by 50% tomorrow, you would see no change in exchange-rates but all currency holders (including currency traders) would just have taken a hair-cut of 50% - It doesn't matter if you still hold the same amount of currency.

Lets do an example in EURUSD

If over one year both currencies went up 20% in value, but the EURUSD went up 10% over the same time frame. Both holders are net gainers, regardless of their position. The one holding USD would have increased their purchasing power by 10% despite him being down in monetary terms. and the one holding Euro would have a increase of 30%. They BOTH became wealthier and BOTH made a PROFIT. You might not get it, but that's because you don't understand that currency itself is just a measuring stick. It does not represent a fixed value, it is a claim-check to value. It is a piece of debt, nothing more.

Nobody wants currency, we want stuff, it is merely a intermediary of exchange. How much "currency" you have is irrelevant, it is all about purchasing power. You can be down 10% on a investment and still have made a profit, and likewise in reverse you can be up 10% and still have made a loss. If you bought stocks in 2000 and held them until now, even at todays record highs, you still lost money. As we have had inflation during this 14 year period. You would still be down 40-50% even though your investment might show a 10% increase measured in currency. The same amount of currency today, does not represent the same value it did 14 years ago when you initiated your investment.

Anyone who claims FX is zero sum doesn't understand what and how FIAT currencies work. Wealth can be created and wealth can be destroyed, it does NOT have to be equally transferred. One mans profit does not have to equal one mans loss and this goes for everything in the market. Of course most transactions in the forex market are a direct transfer of wealth, one mans loss one mans gain (Zero-sum) - I am not stating otherwise, but that is not the point I am making - even if a portion of the FX market is zero sum, the entire market as a whole is not.

Zimbabwe had one of the best performing stocks markets in the world (measured in their own currency), not because stocks were going up but because their currency was going DOWN. Even when investors could show 100.000+% of monetary gains, no one made a profit.


On a entirely different point, out of personal experience I strongly recommend FxPro and their C-Trader platform (ETN) - probably the only broker out there I would recommend.

You can NEVER be guaranteed the price of what you see on your platform, when you see the price on your screen it is the price of what is was 1-3 seconds ago. You will ALWAYS be seeing DELAYED information, as the information travels through the wires and hubs of the "internet" from the exchange or broker. You cannot execute on a old price. Its the same when watching football, when you see the goal, its old news for the ones at the stadium.

If you want the best execution available, you have to set up your order beforehand as the order will start directly from the Broker and travel through the ETN exchange to be executed. Of course conditions like where the broker is located, internet provider, server hardware, distance to exchange etc. are all of equal importance.

​But it will be technically impossible to execute at the price of what you see, even if you had a 0 delay and execution setup (which is impossible, as the information is limited to the speed of light) but lets say it was possible, your own reaction time would give you a delay of 0.1-0.5 seconds from the current price. You will never be able to see what the current price is - even when looking at yourself in the mirror, your not seeing yourself in real-time.

Find a broker that:

1) Does NOT benefit when you lose

2) Makes money regardless whether you lose or win

3) Will make money and make more money ONLY when and if you succeed

If you suspect that the broker is manipulating price feed, record your trades, find a lawyer and sue the broker for a 1 mil. $ compensation. I am pretty sure that the lawyer will work pro bono and then charge you a 10, 20% of the sum you get, and 200k for him should be a good incentive to win the case if he sees it as a good and easy opportunity. but how to find such pro bono lawyer? If you can find him/her for me, let me know this will be the cheapest way to earn profit in retail forex, sue the scam broker with no cost to pay upfront and only need to share a cut of the reward with the lawyer! LOL

I'm sure anyone will hop into it if you provide them with solid evidence

So, here's a few steps to follow:

Step One: Register with Gainsy

Step Two: Deposit solid amount of money - 5k +

Step Three: Whenever you trade fire up the ol' good trusty screen recorder and record away

Step Four: See that the price was manipulated on your account by the broker. Maybe he forced a spike to hit your SL and then made it look like there were no spikes at all. Or he widened the spread so much (like 50-100) pips wide and hit your SL.

Step five: With that evidence go to some good law firm show them the proof and 'voila' there, you are 1mil. $ richer

Reminder: Be sure to trade on a days with no, or low impact news events, because any other day the broker can have an excuse. So no trading on NFP, FOMC days.

Oh, and I want 50.000$ from them millions 'cause I gave you the "how to" steps

You still need to find me the pro bono lawyer. I am not wasting time scanning through law firms. I have to trade and monitor the broker to catch it in its act. Remember??

I guess this answers the question of the title of this thread: Who's making profit in the forex market? Scam brokers who have not been sued. And traders who traded with those scam brokers, sued them in court and win!
