Hello Cipan,

I cannot answer your questions as I am not the programmer. You would need to ask Vlad these questions. I do not know why the g message apperas as I do not use the grid lines. Turn lines off and you will not get that problem.

Hi Maahome,
i'm new here.
so would you help me, i was try to Forward test EA with tickmill demo account with your set, only Start Time 1 i changed to 00.00. But EA not order when signal appear. Did i miss something about setting? thx

Settings are "Wait 3 boxes" before opening trades. Ea did not open 3 boxes so could not open trade. Please read all settings carefully

Hey all,

House move still going strong - funny how it always ends up being 3 times more work than you expect...

I can't attend to the other bugs right now... but the "G" message is an easy one for you to fix.

If you open up the code - and search through the code for "MessageBoxA" and comment out any of these lines that appear. You comment out a line by placing // in front of it. Then click the "Compile" button at the top of the window. G messages should now stop.

Hi everyone, first I'd like to say thanks to those who have worked on this system and shared their work here, especially Vlad, whos code I have based my work on. In my 8 years of trading forex I have come across hundreds of systems and EA's and I can say this one truly has potential. I am a professional software engineer and have written dozens of EA's myself, although I am great at writing code I don't claim to be a great trader or a forex master. What I have done is taken the v1.6.1 and stripped it down to what I believe resembles the original strategy. Also, since I am a small equity account I have left the features that I find to minimize drawdown. This version will open and close based on two quantum period paramaters (qde and qdc) limited to a single time window. I use 00:00 -> 08:00 GMT (tokyo session through london open) because I believe this approach works best in ranging markets. You are also able to set number of cycles and trades during your window. If you run the attached setup with the given presets on GU m1 you will see that drawdown is low, large moves are avoided and profit is still very high relative to drawdown. I also included a hard stop loss as % of equity, although my backtests show it can be left at 0 and still have minimal drawdown. You will see because the code is 1/10th the size of the v1.6.1 that it is much easier to backtest and optimize (and can use 'open price' method to crunch large periods of data). I belive these settings can be scaled up (using the parameterized lot schedule) successfully for larger accounts. I am running this system on a live account with the results in my profile. I intend to let the EA run mostly untouched, however I will manually close trades if necessary. Best of luck to everyone using this method and feel free to ask me any questions about the code etc. If I have time I will make modfications, although my goal is to avoid a tangled mess of features and stick to a simple, elegant approach.

Hi Vlad,

EA has been performing well in the live market but will be looking forward to the next version probably version 1.7.

Moving house is something you would not want to do very often so take it easy.

Thanks again for your unselfish coding of this EA........... its a beauty!

I think This time ( in my settings) needs to avoided for counter trend trading:

Thanks Almo, I am continuing testing for other range-prone pairs and timeframes. Also, looking to develop a version that can handle the large movement breakouts. I am sure there are plenty of ideas in this forum, although I haven't had the time to digest it all. I look forward to improving this method according to my personal style and am happy to share with everyone, cheers.

Hi ShaolinQuant,

I am about to try your EA and see how it goes. I have a question, in the experts folder of your download, you have a file Close_orders_V0_02. Can you please explain the purpose of this file and what it actually does? Is it required to run the EA or is it just a tool you have placed on the folder? I also assume that you only require the Quantum indicator to run your version, is that correct?

I also use time zones with Vlad's version and am happy with the results to date. I prefer to use the grid system as it suits my style. I do not get a lot of trades but I know that no matter what, the trick is to survive the drawdown run which will occur with any mechanical system ( a few people will no doubt have experienced this last night on the GU) especially if the EA is trading all the time.

Where to put those ?

I have placed EA file and indicator file properly along with set files.

Yes, I am testing only in this pair. Doing very well. Wanted to leave it with EA totally.

Only today I closed one basket manually as I was happy with the profit and do not want to see floating on a new day.

I left 24 hrs running.
Intraday only.
