hello all..

about RBNZ announcement.. expectations (forecast) is a rate cut by 25 basis points.. from 3.00% to 2.75%..

if it will happen , NZD/USD will move long ?

If they do a rate cut why going to north(long)?I think if they cut it will fall.

I think it depends on the rhetoric in the RBNZ rate statement. If they make a cut but seems hesitant on future cuts I could see NZD rising. If in the statement they say they strongly believe there will be need for another rate cut this year then I think NZD falls to challenge new lows "which is what is expected".

I wouldn't be surprised if they cut 50 basis points. Then it would plummet. I would not go long if it turns out 25 basis points. The market may jump a little but it will eventually fall back and continue to fall. To me it isn't worth the short-term chances.

I think that market already knows rate ...looking at daily I think they are targeting 0.65...so soon we will know...All of these moves up are not for nothing....

I have considered this as well.... they have been speaking about 2 rate cuts. Why not do it all at once
