Collusion among large banks has been well established. We have read about fines, and preventive measures time, and time again. Nothing has been able to stop it... The rewards for this kind of underhanded business are too great... How can the mkt move as it did right from the open, as you have noted, without a concerted effort by very large traders, banks... Retail traders can't move the mkt in this way...

Seems to me that it is most likely a collective effort... We have read recently that there have been agreements among banks not to,"get in each other's way." This is collusion, a crime. Probably just the tip of the iceberg.

I would think this sort of thing would be almost impossible to monitor, let alone stop.....

Yes, looks like they have done less of this manipulation since the extent to which they intervened came to light... There is a difference, however, between a country wanting to protect its currency(may not have been the case with BOJ), and large commercial banking institutions manipulating prices just to make a profit...

My thoughts were always that BOJ was on it's own to make a profit and my guess is that everybody else is also.......

Yes, most likely... Bank of Switzerland's action a couple of yrs ago seems to have had a justifiable basis.

Morning Pippo,
Rain all around this morning, can't seem to get away from it....Temp right at 70 degrees....Setup will be finished today, baby chicks in on Fri.....
Everything hit the SL's last night....It's been a tough week .........

Morning Whip, Yes, all stopped out. Charts look like Chop Suey... We are at 71 deg, and very humid, as usual...Glad your work is going well...

I'd sure like to put this rain on hold for 3 or 4 days.........Would make a big difference in the work......

Yes, really hope this humidity is over with soon... Window open in my room, but not enjoyable. Too damp... But, a strong black coffee with a shot of anisette makes it all better... Looking over some charts on other TFs... Nothing interesting.

I looked a little earlier this morning, couldn't find anything of interest that qualified.....yes the anisette will help today.......

Both grandfathers started each day with black coffee, spiked with anisette, or with a brandy... I am from a long line of tipplers... At breakfast, a nip, or two during the day..... brandies, or cognac in the evening... I have a tradition to keep!!

I wait until just before dinner and then break out the Glenlivet........

EDIT.......BTW the deck is finally finished and the Glenlivet shows up out there......The Bride is happy!!!!
