Like I've always mentioned, I like 10K for every lot in play (standard account), but that varies greatly on the leverage your using and whether you're on a standard, mini, or micro account as well. It's not for everyone. And again, don't forget there were several points (red circles) in the session where you could have closed out smaller trade runs instead of taking on the DD.

There have numerous times I've been up all night (that's why I picked my avatar) and times I've only needed to be up a couple of hours. I do a lot of trades on daily charts which take only 5 minutes, so I've got the time. Besides, I'm retired military, what else am I going to do?

I wonder how many times you'll have to put this chart up before it starts to stick!

No need to wait until the little red box appears ........ what's unfolding on the currently traded chart is what's far more important.

sorry if this question has been asked before...
But just to be clear,
its recommended to use this system during the late Asian session and early London session and then your done?

I ask because no matter how clear you lay out all the details, some will decide on their own to change things up and then claim it doesn't work when they don't follow instructions.

survived the NFP shock.

EU closed one sell basket which was running prior to NFP.

Currently buy basket running.

Earlier in the day A buy basket was closed in GU.
Intraday only.

I closed the open trades. with 34 $.

Nice work.

With a capital of 1k, the demo a/c with 1: 400 leverage , made 475 $ in the last 3 days. I traded in EU and GU only.

I have to tell something here... The first day and second day I took trades with lot size as in first page.

The third day I took more risk, I started initially with 0.03 lot size. Just wanted to check how it works with little larger size lot size.

This test will continue.

Had the same Idea of Quantum + Divergence
But still don't know how to handle big DD. One Idea could be, if Divergence fail (bigger amplitude in Divergence Indi than initial) get out of the trade.

Great Work Here on NZD/USD....

To answer your question, I would say not all Divergence Indicators are created equal, and it's very
hard to rely on 1 of them and say this is IT...

My Logic is very simple, I tend to use a 30pips Stop-Loss on my first printed Divergence, and most of
the time, I get at least 3 printed Divergences before Reversal Trend Confirmation....I truly believe your idea could definitely
work on a worst Market Condition....

If I was going to trade NZD/USD this morning, I would start analysing it on the M15TF to pinpoint where Price is most
likely to reverse, and the moment I see printed Divergences on the M1TF (Like You did), I will start buying......

P.S I like Using Fibonacci Levels on everything, because it helps me to see what other traders are looking for...

I realized, early on, that I had neither the stones, nor the account size to enter on each new signal. So this is what I’ve come to use with some success (provided I follow my own guidelines, which may be my biggest challenge).

For now, trading some area of Asia Session is where I’m focused. The times highlighted on this chart are from Midnight NY (gray box, 2.5hrs) through London Open (blue box). Very few blowout candles occur during Asia.

btw, I did not cherry pick this chart. It is a randomly picked a day. This one was in May.

• Entry criteria;
° Using Quantum setting of 95 (I totally ripped off MM for this setting ), my entries ONLY occur on candles that meet the criteria of #1 - Having a blue/red box & they also MUST have an RSI 14 reading of >73.5 or <26.5. Other boxes need not apply.
° ° I did try out the Stochastic, however did not mesh well with my brain.

• Exit Criteria;
° Opposite color Box, or RSI Touches 70 or 30.

The chart should tell the story.

I agree with you regarding the Stoch and you won't find it on any of my charts either!
Stochastic should only be applied to reducing the number of open trades at key trading levels to take off some profit NOT as a means to identify significant reversals....just won't happen often enough and its the major trend run-ups that will catch you out and add to your DD problems !

You might like to test your strategy during the 'worst' trading periods to see how it copes and then work out how such a serious DD issue can be either eliminated, offset or significantly reduced.

Do you have an exit strategy when things become less than rosy?

Stochastic may have some place in the mix. At this time I don't see it.

In fact it was the huge DD day that got me looking for some way to mitigate risk. However, even RSI couldn't help in that case. Once price takes off fiercely in one direction, it drags oscillators along with it.

I haven't developed my own version of an exit strategy yet. At least not something original. Of course I see the value in increasing position size as the trade moves along. My other option could include using a stop loss (which I currently do) in attempt to mitigate a 'Black Swan' type event, such as central bank intervention, etc.

At this point, I'm not quite ready to make the jump to "Prime Time" trading, i.e., London or NY sessions. Using the method I described, the most entries I've had on GU, have been six. I am also looking at UJ, during this time. It can really move, by comparison, so I just basically scalp a few pips here and there.

Other than that, I’m just here to learn, not pontificate.

Yes any oscillator will be pushed hard under such conditions and they were not meant for this in the first place.......

Price is the key here and key levels..... this is where I have been taking additional trades in between the unfolding of trades generated by blue or red signal boxes.

Trading starts to get rather busy applying these additional trades and its probably not what I would recommend to everyone however it is a great method to gain extra profit that can be offset against several signal generated entries later down the track.

I've held off from posting such entries for the time being but I might add in a couple of days trading this way some time later in the future.

Most traders are still trying to come to terms with their own techniques at present so allowing this to unfold naturally is the best approach.

It's always very interesting though to read how others are applying their own take on the 'Q' method.
