I think FinViz is a very good source of information. It provides important information for free, of course that if you want more you have to pay. But anyway it is very good one, they also give you the target price of the shares.

Glad to hear you come to that realization.

Most retail traders lose - it's a manipulated game. You're much better off buying some good stocks.

I don't trade "live" anymore, just demo for fun - got tired of losing money. Tried it all - indicators, s/r, supply/demand, "order flow". None of it worked.
It's a sucker's game.

If you don't know how to fight, you'll lose every battle. The same thing happen if don't know how to trade, whichever market u trade (even you trade lemonade). In Forex, at least you can share ur money with ur Fx friends, we will be appreciated

The problem is You..stocks might suit you more..just maybe..maybe they won't, you'll find out in couple years when you'll hit the same wall that made you consider quitting FX..
Ultimately it's about knowing what you are looking for, knowing your style, knowing what's your trade. And you know it as you wrote it yourself..
And knowing your trade..the market you trade doesn't matter as much. So..do you actually know what's your trade or not? And if not..what makes you think you'll know your trade in stocks when it will be rather new market for you, with it's tricks, differences, specifics etc..hm?

There are winners and loosers. Winners look for how to win a game..and trust themselves & their ability to actually win a game they choose and loosers don't trust themselves and are scared to even accept that & they choose to blame circumstances, conditions, manipulations, external forces, evil forces, bad luck, witches, ghosts, alliens..you name it..as a proof "that's why I couldn't do it in such rigged conditions, see?!"

I've read couple articles on "manipulation" that makes sense..and ultimately manipulation can be intended but that's about it, market is bigger and one can find his way where there's enough liquidity.:

Added: There are bulls and there are bears.. And then there might be those who wants to get the stops or sent the price one way. But both bulls & bears have their stops so, you always have both camps fighting..and nimble trader can jump in & jump out quickly as long as he doesn't trade size..

Like surfing/windsurfing, you don't fight the wave or wind, that's too much..it goes where it goes.. The wind might not blow your way..so what? Does it mean you'll destined to end up in the middle of the ocean? Nope..you just find your way through and enjoy the heck out of it.
But hey, you can blame the wind blowing off the coast..sending you into the ocean.. Damn, such a strong unfair wind that just wants to screw you..right? Well, you can see it this way too. Some might!

I hate to say it, but it's not the instrument you trade, it's your process of how you trade. Don't expect it to get any easier by merely changing what you trade. Stay with high volume, liquid instruments, in any event. Good Luck with your strategy.

Manipulation. That can be a reason and it is a reason, but I don't think it is the main reason why retail traders lose.

The main reason why most retail traders lose is because they are always at a mathematical disadvantage.

When they open a trade - it does not matter which currency pair or how many lots or in what moment - the spread and the commission is applied to that trade. It's not just applied to that one single trade, but to every trade they make. For this pure mathematical reason, it is highly unlikely that they make money over a long period of time

Thinkorswim is a great broker. They have demo and their scanner is pretty good too. Very advanced and reliable platform. I am using them for many years and no issues at all. You may want to check them out too.

- 'Too many crosses' : forex-specific randomness, really ? this is macro economics. Now to be honest, I think I have a good understanding of it, and really you need it sometimes to have an idea of whats going on (main import/export relationships between Majors, correlation between some commodities and their biggest producers/importers). This can be easily spotted on the stock market as well. Some sectors will have their prices highly moved by commodities, a major brand in the US market could see its production costs rise because of political unrest in their manufactures country, etc etc.
- I've read good advice from other posters on this thread, and you brushed them away putting on the table how skilled and self-sufficient you are. That kind of attitude attracts that kind of reactions

Prepare yourself for unexpected gaps, serious slippages with less liquid stocks and higher broker commissions...And don't forget that stocks are way way manipulated than forex because it requires less money to control stocks of a company and it's way easier compared to controlling a currency or a whole economy. Just my 2cents

Markets are just a manifestation of millions of buy and sell orders, they are being manipulated all the time. To purport that the game is somehow rigged to disadvantage a small group of retail traders is quite paranoid.

No need to change brokers, just trade the indices on your current platform.

However you may not have any more success there than you have with FX.

So here is 2¢
Use lower leverage (position-size : account-size), then you will be able to ride out your bad calls without losing everything.
Also you must answer the following; where is price going, where is an entry point, where do I place stops and finally of course a TP.
...and while you are thinking about it, how will you know when your assumptions are wrong.

If you really want to trade stocks ... there is an enormous amount to learn, and don't 'trade' them.
Study some of the successful stock investors such as Warren Buffett and George Soros.
Learn how to read company accounts, and learn about the market-arena in which your choices operate.
Most difficult of all, figure out how strong or capable is the senior management team.

Don't put all your eggs in one basket, and don't invest in anything you do not understand.
There are periods when you can make a lot of money (2010 -> 2015) and periods when you need to get into cash or similar and just watch (2003).

Once you are up and running you will find there is plenty of time to get a day-job, if you want.
If Warren Buffett can turn $10k into $30bn then so can I ... err ... you !
