Maybe don't mean anything but i Put SMA 50 in graphic and the first thing I see is that all blue dots are behind and red dot over the line, maybe with an script can discretize bad trades as the picture

So in other words, your filter will remove ALL trades ... Right ?

people have the tendency to over complicate trading.

I think your vertical should be set at 7am? I'm France and my broker is GMT+2 same as Mer and the equates to 7am also. At 9am won't you miss a lot of trades?

Very important question, as always.

Mer has made about $685 since the start of this thread (Post 937) on an account of at least $10k, so <7% return or about 0.5%/trading day. Actually not bad & I'd bet much better than 99.9% of people here at FF.

BUT... what is the Risk Reward and Risk of Ruin in this method ? The Risk Reward is very low (because of the Risk of Ruin) and the Risk of Ruin itself is unusually high. Just look at the drawdown Mer has himself experienced and work it out for yourself - if you haven't, you''re likely heading for a very unpleasant surprise. Mer is happy to trade this way - I and a few others are not & would never do so (but are using the core of this method differently as posted) - but he is doing so within a portfolio of methods, so it clearly works for him and perhaps a few others...

No offence meant here .. all I'm sayin' is be careful & make absolutely sure you have calculated the downside very thoroughly indeed. I don't doubt for one second that Mer has done this very carefully, but I'd guess many others have not & are simply dazzled by "easy pips".

my broker GMT is +3 so my vertical line is set at 6.00?it right?

You are living same time zone as frankfurt. this method starts trading 1 hour earlier than frankfurt open,
when your clock is seven (07.00) in your wrist/mobile/alarm you start trading that time

so if my METATRADER is 1 hour in advance i set my line at 8.00(7.00 in italy) 1 hour before frankfurt open

Yes you put line there when your time is seven in itally.
Sometimes this is confusing, because summer time, your normal GMT+2 broker is now GMT+3

as for time zones just match mers last posted chart to yours. It appears to me he trading from 5am BST.(4am GMT currently)

So close all for 125 pips

your system is different among MER
there are more signals in your system but are good like Mer are goods

I think opening a Cent-account if you are trading with small account (ex.$1K) is much safer, and you can grow up.
