Below results, the set file and my observations of running V3i in full auto mode for 1 week.

For some reason, the settings I used seem to be a disaster especially during Tokyo sessions.
Many a time, the result was 40-60 pips negative after Tokyo + 3 hours running the EA.

On one or two occasions, the EA opened a trade well within the 30 minutes before/after Red News in spite of the fact that it was not supposed to.

Has anybody actually managed to get the % position size setttings to work ?
I tried all possible combos, to no avail. Only fixed lot sizes seem to work for me so far.

Will read up a bit, download the latest version and continue testing with different settings.

looking at your set file
but news are off. UseNewsFilter=false

I copied this too but I am not sure if TF 1 minute make sense
trigger_use_ash2=true
ashperiod2=1
trigger_use_mcandle2=true
BBTimeFrame2=1

anybody else opinion to his set file?

thank you for your testing and report. can you please tell what set-file is for what report, or what set-file was the winner?

You can look at the black and white tradereport. At the bottom you have the magic number. I named the setfiles with magic numbers.
The positive was 9833. That has also a better RR (adr tp and sl %) than robinhos set.

News filter is activated, it just doesn't "print" the news headline on the dash screen.
Supposedly, these settings would not allow the EA to place a trade 30 minutes before Red News until 15 minutes after Red News.

I also noticed that spread filter settings might not work correctly. Max. spread allowed had been set to 3.0 but more than once GBPNZD trades were initiated. Will have a closer look at this though.

On V3i the news filter didn't work correctly but if you do not "Read the news" the news filter doesn't work at all.

First i have some exciting work to do on my pet project (BDM).
After that i have some (ahum) PM's to read and answer.
And after that i will go trough the dashboard code with a fine-tooth comb and before market opens there will be V3L.

spread change with market conditions. It can become bigger and smaller every tick unless you have a broker with fixed spread. So its possible the a pair with a normal bigger spread had this condition true.

I was checking the set file 9833. I think the catch is the session timer. What time zone are you in? Do the session start 5 minute after open London, NY and Tokyo? Or is it different?
SL is bigger then TP? (check trades, there was a bug)

Hi LuXing,

For MT4 backtest, I only know I can test one currency pair, one time frame, and one spread for each run.

Is the result from the live trades or backtest?
If this is from a backtest, can you share the method?

it is all live per demo. No back test possible for multi currency trading as far I know.

Not backtestable without tickdata and even with tickdata i would doubt it.

Hi Hotpotato, I should have data for my pairs since I am using ForceLoadHistoricalData.ex4, although my demo accounts don't include all pairs.

More than happy to help debug if you'd like to provide the source.

Edit: Resolved zero divide by own pair list input containing just pairs provided by the demo account.

The 9833 setfile has ADR 10 for TP and 15 for SL. That is much better than 5/20 that is in the Robinho setting magic 9823.

I am in GMT +2 timezone. LO is 09:00, NY is 14:00 local time so everything is okay I hope. At Tokyo open (02:00) I followed Robinhos start time 1 hour and 35 minutes in to the session, that is 03:35 local time. Do you suggest other trading times?

Where are you guys & girls with your +500 pips per day results? I like to see your weekly summary?

Someone talking about backtests, is that possible (per pair of coarse)? I will have to fire up TDS with 99% tickdata if so.
