ive been waiting on the same, issue could be this is a small pullback before continuation higher 5 and 15 min looks bullish still.

I did take a look at the "hedging" recovery technique, but decided not to use it ... not much benefit for the effort.

As I had mentioned in an earlier post, my daily goal is actually 10pips.

In demoing the TMA system I want to see if I can consistently meet or beat that goal.

In order to properly maintain the "recovery" technique I only use about 3% of account balance on each trade.

I'm not sure I agree with some of these trades you're taking, in particular your continuation trades when the 5 or 15 min outer bands have been exceeded??? You seem to be looking for a "continuation trade" in the direction of the extended move, out side the outer bands???

I'm not surprised that you are having to use your "recovery" trades to get out of poor positions or when they do go your way they are fairly small winners.

I think you're do better taking the reversals when the outer bands are exceeded, these are the extremes of the 5 and 15 min channels and are ideal places for reversal trades away from the extremes not back in the direction of the extremes...especially if the 5 or 15 min channel is sloping in the direction of your trade, for instance in an upward sloping 5 min channel try to buy the bottom of the 5 min channel rather than sell the top, this would give you much bigger moves back with the 5 or 15 min trend..

Take your GBPAUD trades earlier, heres the same chart and my interpretation of how to trade it...

Whenever price exceeds a 5 or 15 min outer band I am looking for it to reverse back down through the band and back into its trading channel where it is at home. Price does not like being outside its trading channels. Sure you can show me many times that it does, but the high probability trade is back into the channel, its happier there... So when price goes close to or outside the 15 min channel look for the 1 min middle band to turn back into the channel so in this case for the middle band to turn red...



I think you need to be careful looking for continuations at these extremes of the channels, have a look at the same chart on a 15 min chart and it becomes clearer as to why we should be looking for reversals on our 1 minute charts at these extremes eg the outer bands of our channels..



You can see I've marked three other good entries 1,2 and 3. Look at 3 in particular the 15 min upper band was exceeded and the hrly upper band was touched in a downward sloping hrly and 15 min channels, these are gold dust entries on our 1 minute chart, wait for your 1 min middle band to turn red then sell the next couple of 1 minute cci signals....

If you treat the outer band breaks like this I'm sure you will have far more winners and far bigger ones too, notice how you could hold until the opposite bands are hit???

Golden rule is inner band should be close together with outer band.
which ever way outer band direction is going the inner band should be too

eg
if outer band is turning from short to long as in a u shape the inner band should be doing the same u shape

so price and the bottom of both band should be all together and turn up for long.

opposite for short
just look at the picture.....both bands together right on 1st green demand zone.any problems am happy to help on skype call

Yes I agree but do not expect price to turn just because it is at these points we need to see the 1 minute turn our way as a confirmation that the traders are there, before entering and then we should wait for a pullback, CCI signal before trading....

Also our channels may well be pointing the wrong way at the time of the signal as its price that pulls the channels into line, not the other way round so our past charts will show something quite different to what we see at the actual time of the trade...

Thats why I constantly talk about these channels being zones rather than precise points plus we need to see our 1 minute actually turn and give us a pullback before entering...

These 15 minute outer bands which mark our 15 minute channels are ideal places to enter any 1 minute turn that happens around them...but especially if its sloping the same way the 1 minute is turning, absolute gold dust....

Heres an hrly chart of GBPJPY just look at those over extended price when it breaks out of the hrly trading channel it just don't like it and wants to get back into the safety of its channel asap....Great opportunities to trade our 1 minute reversal move when the middle band changes colour outside our channels...



heres where that last 250 pip move up on GBPJPY started when price breaks down through the hrly lower band/channel(red) and the 15 min channel (yellow) hits the 5 min lower band and turns the middle band green, take the next couple of CCI signals for a nice tight entry into a 250 pip run....



A couple of things to note when deciding which colour changes to trade, firstly is it in the right place on our higher timeframe channel??? Lower bands to buy , upper bands to sell.. Also look for our ABCD move, you want to see a nice AB move that has changed the colour and taken the last LH in a downtrend or the last HL in an uptrend, then wait for a CCI signal near the 1 min outer band, lower band to buy, upper band to sell..

I'm setting my slope alerts on my 1 min middle band and when I get an alert I check out its position within the higher timeframe channels and if I like what I see I'll take the next couple of CCI signals and if I don't like what I see I won't....

just monitoring the biggest movers GBPAUD,GBPNZD, GBPJPY, GBPCAD, EURUSD, EURAUD, EURCAD and EURJPY..

Also tinkering with the idea of watching the top trending 5 min pairs from my TTindy that way I'm trading strong trending 5 min channels in the right direction...and when they pop over their hrly outer bands I'll be waiting...

Even works on the DAX too...



1 minute middle band Colour change outside or near 5,15 or hrly channels then take next 2 CCI signals...Hold until centre band changes colour again...
