Looks like Cable more into ranges now.... did not move much.... I always tempted to go long on that..... maybe not this time. Claudia will push me down

Bumped into big rollover fees when trading EUR/AUD on broker that i am not very familiar with.. Should read more before trading overnight...

I have no idea where this is going. Massive support at 500 on weekly - see what the morning brings then nfp silliness as well.

But -I cannot resist posting this Cable opportunity.
Not traded by me but gives you an idea of price action around certain levels such as the Big Round Number arrowed.
The Pin was the entry alert. If you then dropped to 15 minutes you would see two Pin opportunities to get in long.
Where would you get out ? You decide -is twenty plenty or would you try to pig out ?

Hi - yes big support at 00. Wouldn't touch this at the moment no idea where it is headed. NFP will sort it out maybe!?

Here's a chart of the E/J. Would you have got your 5 and closed the long break of previous bars high (to the left of the arrow)?
Or would you still be in managing the trade?
How or when would you know if you got it wrong?

Look at day BB (Range between bands ) and Weekly BB, then we will see what happened.... Not that i am trading it....

Ah -saw your above reply re-Williams E/J strategy too late.

Anyway -now I've pasted the Cable chart, would you have traded the Pivot short similar to how I have shown it, or would you have shorted it earlier as soon as it went below big round number 1500?

lol didn't trade it I got written down on my pad sell at dp and buy at yesterday's low ? Missed big drop but there we go.

I don't trade the Dow but, using hindsight and three minute time frame charts, I have put in old supports and resistances, and note price action (Pins, Inside bars etc) forming around these marked levels.
Do you use similar levels to trigger trades and to control exits?

I mentioned Dow Jones just because it shows Dollar strength and moves all dollar pairs. If Dow Jones drops - Dollar pairs will follow.. If Dow Jones drop from Pivot or trendline.... that will affect (But it can be fun to trade)

Just some notes here, but ... you have to find the way you trade yourself... I see you are stubborn ...

I do not look at engulfing candles on small time frames only at pinbars sometimes., but i wait till candle is closing 4 hour or 1 hour or 30 min. Agree that inside bars have value on high time frames. It shows price action slow down, but not total reversal.
If you trade on 15 min, could pay attention how and when 1 hour or 4 hour candle closing, not entering trades before big candle close. Very often you get price jumps before candle is closing. It is hard to explain that... have to feel how it is closing. Move can exhaust after candle with big volume. Putting stop above 4 hour candle is safer, then above some pinbar on 15 min. It does not matter that you do not trade 4 hour charts..


My levels are Pivots and fib extensions, looking at central pivot same way as Claudia - that gives day direction.

Also look at BB 4 hour and 1 hour centers and trade from it. Swing extensions are not visible, have to measure swings. And they work not so bad and can be traded very aggressive way Even leaving orders at them. But thats not for those who trade brake outs...

About 3 drives or 3 touches to trendline i explained many times.

If you use BB:
Your Bollinger band do not help much , because you looking at 15 min bbs. Big boys will not pay attention to that too much... If you use BB it has to be bigger
Only then it will give decent kick
on 15 min chart - 20x4= 80. 80 BB will be for 1 hour. Use 80 or 100 BB on 15 min chart, then you see what is happening on 1 hour. and watch for centers.
80x4 = 320 - 360 BB will be for 4 hour. Rejections from centers can be decent trades. Especially if they are near Pivot. Top and bottom of BB will work, if BB is flat.

BB 1 day is in special squeeze , so getting rubber reaction here, no strong trend... not to mention that DJ went down a bit too. That made pound stronger

Hi all, I am still around but getting into trouble due to mentioning the 4 hour candle trading method lol. I see some good posting but it is beginning to go straight over my head , I trade simple, all my trader friends do. I will next trade probably Tuesday I still have some catching up to do following that fail last week.
