DislikedI have been testing the system and I have found that it is a wonderful tool to force DISCIPLINE into one's trading. I have been playing with the EA setting and I am now comfortable with them. Yes they get you out of some profitable trades a bit early, but it also lets some trades run a bit longer for increased profits. Here was an example of my most recent trade in the GBP/JPY. It was entered with a limit order just above the candle close. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} That's right. I rely upon the Trailing Stop to lock in the profit. If you notice on my posted trade the profit was 23 pips. If by chance it continues to run for 200 pips (which might occur a couple times per year), then I will gladly bank it and say "Thank You Very Much" for increasing my equity by anywhere from 20% to 100%, depending on my initial risk (I adjust my risk % based on how strong the signal is and how confident I am in the position). GREEN pips to everyone.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi SmoothTrader: I have questions on the SleepTight EA When you set "Use trail" = true and "Pips Profit To Start Trail" = 12.0 The EA will start trailing when your trade is in 12 pips profit. 1- Does this mean also the EA will trail in 12 pip steps? (lock in profits every 12 pips) 2- Also when we set "Use trail" = true, the other parameters (Break even, Lock-in pips) will be inactive ? Am I correct? Thank you!Ignored

Disliked{quote} For point #1, it starts to trail the Trailing Stop once 12 pips is reached and it locks in profits pip for pip as the price moves in your favor. It is NOT the "step" there is NO "step" feature in the EA. As to point #2, you are correct, it inactivates those features. In fact today I had a total of 12 trades (not all of them were proper set-ups and I began at Tokyo Open). Of those trades 1 went to the 20 pip stop loss, 1 was closed manually for a 5 pip profit, 1 went for a 24.6 pip trailing stop profit, and 9 went to trailing stop profits...Ignored
DislikedDont know why but some indicators and scripts do not work on my platform. My MT4 is up to date version. For example Sleep Tight (is not working like many others) and is marked with grey square. {image}Ignored
